Customs "Hold" Aggravation

Post by namor » Fri Aug 05, 2022 11:36 am

When a watch is coming in from overseas, customs usually takes a slice. That, like all taxes, is just part of life.

But if its FedEx, they pay it and deliver in Express time, then charge you for it. But the scumbags at DHL will hold the package, delaying shipment, until its paid to them. Which adds at least two days to the delivery, since their system is so convoluted. Which makes paying for Express service a joke.

Can you guess which service has a watch I've been waiting to get for over 4 days past "expected date of delivery"?

Sorry about that Seth. :(

Maybe that's why I haven't seen that yellow truck around much in the last year
or so. It could be that a lot of people have noticed how they do things sir.

Honestly hope the watch somehow gets to you soon there ! :salute:

In the UK we lovingly refer to DHL as Drop it, Hide it, Lose it.

Hope your watch turns up soon

That's super annoying!

FWIW, I had an equally frustrating time returning a watch the China. Shipping was super expensive, and took over a month to arrive. Lesson learned, cheap watches from overseas do have a cost.
