Oris Aquis New York Harbor L.E.

Post by AtomicTom » Wed Jun 29, 2022 9:03 am

Guys, did you check out the Oris Aquis New York Harbor L.E.?

This new Aquis has a nice green mother of pearl dial, along with
41.5mm stainless steel case, an all stainless diver’s bezel, sporty
green rubber strap, and stainless steel bracelet, as well as a cool
case-back which has the Oris 733 beneath.

A few pictures everyone...

They got the water color right.

Nice! Wish Oris would use standard lugs like everyone else...

Almost all their watches use standard lugs. This one appears to be special.

I’d like it more with a black bezel.

Cool dial, but what a dumb caseback.

Yeah, I’m not sure what it’s meant to be, but those look like sewer floaters to me.

I don’t care what it represents or in collab with but on that green rubber, I love it.
I just wish the Aquis didn’t have so much high polish on the case.

:) It's a great looking watch, I have to agree guys, but have to say it's so much fun
listening to you guys talk about the case-back. Not to mention Chris mentioning
the dial/water color. ..Hey, but you know what's neat?! Is they went in a cool
unique direction, because we do see a lot of blue dials. So this is actually a nice
change of pace.

Honestly loved hearing what everyone had to say. Thanks so very much to all of you
for giving your two cents !!!

And thanks for the laughs also ! ;)

I like this dial treatment quite a bit. Oris is one of those brands that produce a lot of cool stuff, but most is just not quite compelling enough to make me lose sight of other things on my radar at any given time. That said, I think their recent Aquis efforts are starting to erode my willpower.

The only thing that I don’t really care about with this one Matt, is the
limited edition thing. Because that always adds to the price of watch
designs that don’t usually cost as much. ;) And I am with you on the
dial. I wonder if these kind of dials will leak into regular Aquis
models, or other Oris collections down the road.

And Pedro, maybe, just maybe they will change up the case-back design
for the the next variation.

Thanks again for joining the conversation guys, as well as making us smile !!! :)

They should have put a small dead body at the end of the second hand.

Can't wait for the Oris "Love Canal" and "Lake Erie" editions . . .

I used to think that until I got one. Makes my 47mm wear like a 44mm. The Seiko Tuna effect basically. Feels like it’s almost not there.
