Inside or out?
Inside or out?
I notice that most folks here seem to wear their watches on the outside of their wrists.
- why?
- why not?
I used to wear min inside when I was in the military, but now that I’m at a desk most of the time it seems that wearing it outside seems more appropriate- but is the trade off worth it?

Any watch that you spend more than $100 on should be worn on the outside. It’s a fashion piece, an accessory, and really no point of not showing off a $5000 watch if you buy one.

I wore them on the inside of my wrist when I was a kid because I saw my grandfather doing it. I've always worn them on the outside as an adult.

I sleep without underwear or depends, and sometimes wear a watch.

Toilet paper. From the top or the bottom.

I bought a cheap watch from a crazy man

It doesn't use numbers or moving hands

What a fun topic Mike ! ..I wear them on the outside today. But like
Roger did, I also used to actually wear my watches on the inside of
my wrist often when I was a kid. However, I remember doing it as
a way of protecting the watch. ..I think it was because earlier on as
a kid we had Swatch guards to protect our watches. ..But all of a
sudden I didn’t on my non Swatch watch, and just thought why not
flip it around, and protect it.
But I think a lot of people did it just because it maybe felt comfortable
to them. ..In fact, I still see it every once in a while. ..As I’m sure you
do too. It’s an interesting phenomenon when you think about it to tell
the truth.

Wipe front to back, or back to front. That is also an important TP question.

Re: Inside or out?
Always wear watch on the outside of my wrist. My spouse cooks a lot, so always lots of pots etc. to wash. Too much pot vs watch risk if the watch is on the inside of my wrist.
I decline to comment on the other topics. Too much information.

I started this thread yesterday as I was changing the bracelet to an Erica’s on my Marathon. Once changed - I had a rare and unannounced bolt of genius where I began to wonder how the watch would feel on the inside vs the outside of my wrist? Putting it on the inside was super comfy and familiar, like when you were a little kid and put on your sisters bra. It felt wrong but right all at the same time. Once the euphoria subsided, reality kicked back in and I began musing how the face of the watch would now be under constant attack by my desk and that it probably wouldn’t take very long for the bezel and crystal to look like they were beat by a jealous step child with a ball peen hammer creating a watch face that would draw cruel looks from friends and require more frequent service by the factory or AD.
I honestly don’t think I could/would want to wear any of my nice watches on the inside of my wrist - but, wearing a beater on the inside could work - depending on the chore.

Re: Inside or out?
At one time I always wore them on the inside of my wrist. But I've come to realize they tend to get more abuse when more than that way. Especially on the bezel. So now I just wear them right side up.
