Citizen’s Promaster "Orca" Diver
Citizen’s Promaster "Orca" Diver
Hey everyone, did you know there was a new "Orca" Diver in the
works?
The brand new Promaster "Orca" Diver has a 46mm stainless steel,
or PVD coated stainless steel case. Along with black, and stainless,
blue, and stainless, or black on black accented bezels. As well as
sporty polyurethane straps. In addition, the dials come in black, or
blue with the patented Orca hands, and markers. And what’s nice
too is you now have an Orca on the case-back. A case-back which
has the caliber E168 Eco-Drive beneath.
Just a few pictures...
Saw these over at Timezone, and have Citizen’s link too guys...

Citizen’s Promaster "Orca" Diver
One of my all time favorites. Sold my original Orca for a nice profit years back.
May have to check these out; perfect summer beater.
Thanks for sharing, Tom.

A curiously good looking watch. All round and bubbly. Who cares 46mm when it looks this good?
Shame about the lugs, limited strap options

I think the high resale price was why I sold mine too. I'd definitely wear it if I still had one.

Too big for me, but always loved these. I didn’t realize they were discontinued in the first place.

I’m so glad everyone is liking these so much.
Honestly wasn’t sure if Citizen had stopped making the original as Todd
had said above. But just seeing the design brought back memories.
I believe the originals were Titanium right?! ..So I guess these will feel
a touch heavier.
The look was always amazing to me like Jeremy was saying. I think
it was the Orca, as well as the Ecozilla which always captivated a lot
of us with Citizen years back. So this is just a lot of fun to see.
So was hearing what you guys had to say. Thanks a ton !!!

I remember another reason why I sold my Orca. The bezel action was really loose. Hopefully they have corrected that. It's a really nice looking watch, though kind of oversized.

Great point Eric, yes, that would be cool if this latest incarnation’s
bezel movement was a little tighter. There must have been a lot of fans
of the watch who had the same issue over the years.
Oh, and was thinking about the size, this would be a terrific opportunity
for a brand to offer a couple sizes imho. They could have the 46mm
version still, but then one a touch smaller right?! ..Maybe 41-42mm.
Want to thank you just for looking honestly, but especially for giving us
your insight !!!
