IWC Mercedes
I really like this one. I know it’s probably going to elicit strong opinions both ways but it’s interesting. I do think it needs to be $1500 less but that’s the market these days. Thoughts?

I dig it.
Re: IWC Mercedes
What a stunner Chris, and you know what's interesting?! ..Is the turquoise hands,
markers, as well as numbering looks just like lume, so it always looks illuminated.
It's a cool, as well as sporty update, and although it's a bit different, it definitely
a lot of fun to see, and talk about.
Thanks so much for the look !!!

Re: IWC Mercedes
The color is growing on me. I just got the steel version of this, the Spitfire Chrono. Same 41 mm size, same 20 mm lugs, same dial, basically the same in-house movement, except the SC has a solid caseback + cage, and it’s not displayed, so it is probably slightly less decorated. Anyway, I think 41 mm is the perfect size for these. The dial is perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of room to the right of the day-date window, etc. To me, the 41 mm size wears slightly tighter than a Speedy Pro, though it is a bit tall. I don’t mind the thickness. The lugs aren’t long, as they can appear in some photos. They’re just right.
This one must be really nice in Ti. That new easXchange strap system is crazy good. Overall, I think this one is great. Like a budget Ceratanium model, with that bold color. You could also go even cheaper and get the Spitfire, which I’m happy I did. I think IWC is starting to “admit” they need to bring their Pilot Chronos back down to 41 mm, as several “special” models are all this size. If this was more of a light blue, or maybe orange, I might be saving up for one, as I’m a sucker for Ti.

I like seeing it, thanks for sharing. I think I would grow tired of it pretty quickly though...

Re: IWC Mercedes
Dig it on the black strap...the watch so much better than Mercedes performance to date..
Re: IWC Mercedes
I'm in agreement with Dixan on this one.
41mm seems like the "Goldilocks" size and I like Ti as a watch case material in general.
I just don't really like the turquoise on black color scheme. I think turquoise works best as a primary dial color, such as with the Rolex OP, the "Tiffany" Patek 5711, or even the Doxa Sub.
On this watch, the color makes the watch look like the lume on a dive watch that you just hit with a UV flashlight.
It would be almost ironic if this watch had poor lume, given how it looks in daylight photos.

The first IWC I like other than the big pilot.

I bought a cheap watch from a crazy man
Floating down canal
It doesn't use numbers or moving hands
It always just says now
Now you may be thinking that I was had
