Hamilton’s PSR MTX

Post by AtomicTom » Thu Dec 02, 2021 8:57 am

Has anyone had time to see this Matrix Resurrections inspired
PSR MTX?

The new watch will have a stealthy 40.8mm x 34.7mm black
PVD case, and bracelet. Along with 100m WR, sapphire crystal,
sleek black dial with futuristic green LCD & OLED display. And
behind it all you also have a reliable quartz movement too.

Just a few pics...

$ 1000.00 for a digital watch? Yikes. I hope it balances my check book, at the press of a button, too.

Apart from it being in PVD and the ridiculous price, it's a nice looking retro style watch

They do a SS version, too. It's $745.

The price sucks balls. I am old remember when this style watch came out in the 1970’s they were sold for under a 100 bucks there were considered throw aways since the cheap price. Remember me and a buddy drunk in bar showing off the features we had in our digital watches. You know don’t know what happened to it one of those watches you want to forget you ever owned.

You know that in 1970 a gallon of gas was .36 cents and an average new car was $3,500 dollars, right? Inflation happened over the past 50 years.

Digital watches are still available for less than half the price of this Hamilton. It's nice looking, just not !000.00 nice looking, even with Yes, but the Matrix 4.

I'm with you guys about the price, it kind of tarnishes the your feeling about
the watch right?! I mean imagine if these were maybe $349 or somewhere
just below, or even a touch above?! :) Everyone would be wanting to grab
one, and add it to their collections.

I think some of it has to do with it being tied to the new Matrix movie, but
the regular PSR watches are up there in price too as Jeff pointed out.

And as Stephen said, there are many nice digital watches much less than
this out there. It's too bad these new PSRs don't have similar price tags as
all of those. ;)

Have to admit though, the movie sounds like it could be cool.

Honestly cannot thank all of you enough for chiming in, and giving your
thoughts on these like this !!!

The watch is cool, but overpriced. When Seiko brought back the Arnie, they didn’t jack up the price. Hamilton is known for putting out great quality at a very affordable price, so I’m really surprised at how they priced this. Maybe the actual selling price will lower.

You need to visit the Seiko forum. I’m there daily. You can even run into me , occasionally, on the Rolex forum…. Image Nice to see you, too. My oldest son would love that watch, but he won’t be getting it from Mom, for Christmas. His three little ones will get gifts from Grandma, though, just not watches, quite yet….
