Oris Aquis strap adapters

Post by spring-diver » Tue Nov 30, 2021 2:07 pm

I’ve been a fan of the latest updated Aquis for a few years now. Never pulled the trigger do to lug design for aftermarket straps.

Well it looks like Aqnaut has solved the problem for the 43.5 mm case Aquis. Adapters will be available for the 41.5mm in January.

This solves Oris inflexibility in straps. I like it.

Could be interesting, but $130 for end links is more than I would spend as an experiment to see if I like it. Looks like it isn’t in stock anyway.

I’ve got NATO straps on most of my watches, but find that the Aquis bracelet is excellent and comfortable.

I'll go against the grain and say I don't really like them. I think they make the watch look clunky.

Also, I think if you're going to buy an Oris, the proprietary lugs are part of the package. if that doesn't appeal to you, you should purchase a different watch.

I think they look cool, but are a bit pricey

Strange that they had the adapter with an isofrane style strap...seems like the lug length would be off with this option and I would need short straps

These look terrible. Oris straps and bracelets are nice. Buy a Seiko if you want a NATO watch.
