New Uncle Seiko Velcro straps

Post by hobbit712 » Sat Nov 27, 2021 5:16 am

I saw the new Uncle Seiko velcro straps on Instagram a few weeks ago. I needed some new velcro straps due to some weight loss in the past few years. The other velcro bands from BandR bands were now too small.

These from Uncle Seiko are adjustable unlike the BandR bands. I just mounted the grey one on my Damasko. The black one will likely get mounted on my Seiko Caesar for work.

The quality seems to be good so far. I ordered these on Tuesday and they arrived yesterday. Great customer service and quick shipping.

I wish they came in 24mm.

Cool! I love my “original” US velcros, might pick up a few of these new ones, if only to support his charity stuff

Helps if you put the strap on correctly.

FWIW, decent sales going on, I just snagged two of the new style straps. Also supports a great cause IMHO

Hey these are really cool Steve, wow ! :o An ULTRA cool
congrats to you !!! 8-) 8-)

You know, have to admit for several years now I have been
seeing Velcro straps on various strap sites. However I seem
to always end up skipping right over them, and looking at
NATOs instead. But that was because I didn’t realize just
how nice they were. :excited: ..Honestly they look much classier
than I was thinking, or had imagined sir. ..Yowza, what a
pick-up, or pick-ups here !!

I love how the material looks as if it can morph into, or
with any finish, or style too. Because this one matches
up perfectly with your bead blasted beauty here.

Got mine yesterday, so here are a couple of (bad) pics and thoughts

+ Super comfy
+ Inexpensive
+ Looks cools
+ highly adjustable

-- Not a single piece/NATO style setup (less secure for spring bar breakage), but the extra material from adjustment still lays under the watch head.
-- Much more involved to extend the strap to wear over something (I'm a dork and wear my watches outside of jackets regularly) compared to a NATO or something.

What is the length on these? Would love to pick one up, just not sure if they will work for me.

If anyone can tell be the length I would appreciate it

I can't measure right now but they are adjustable one size fits all.

I see they are 65mm x 145mm - just not sure they will work for an 8" wrist?

Basically adjusted as long as possible:

Keep in mind the turtle has a relatively short L2L, so depending on your watch, this max length might get longer (or shorter)

Thanks for the measurements. I think I’ll try one and see how it goes
