OCEAN7 RE-LAUNCH
Re: OCEAN7 RE-LAUNCH
Congrats on taking over and good luck!
I was in the Navy as well for a minute
This is not my pic, but was my watch: the OG LM-1 was AWESOME (the retreads pretty much sucked)

By retreads do you mean later models of the LM-1? What was it yo didn't like?

Re: OCEAN7 RE-LAUNCH
probably the dome-type crystal - it was hard to tell the time at an angle. But that's just being picky - i had the black and white version and i didn't like them at all. They are not the same watch as the one above, basically. The OG version just had a completely different feel to it.
Not my picture, but makes the case - cool lume, but what time is it?

Hopefully the 58 click bezels are all out of inventory
Re: OCEAN7 RE-LAUNCH
Hey Pat, just wanted to thank you. The purchase experience was awesome and you were super patient with all my questions.
I received my LM-2AD a few days ago and I absolutely love it!!!
I’ve been wearing it with a two piece nato and it looks amazing!
I was torn between the Brushed Titanium and the Black PVD but I’m convinced that I made the right decision going for the PVD.
I was also a bit nervous on how to set the date and time on the screen, but it’s actually super simple.
Congrats on the new website it’s a lot better than the previous one. I’m glad to see people are excited that Ocean 7 is back.
I wish you guys the best!

Re: OCEAN7 RE-LAUNCH
Bought an LM-3 about 10 years ago. It was on closeout for $399. Liked everything about it except the lume, which was nearly nonexistent.
No, it's not Tourettes.
Re: OCEAN7 RE-LAUNCH
the LM-5 GMT is another one of my favorites. Years ago I really wanted one, but they were always out of stock. I settled for the LM-5 three hand and I still wear it to this day! My apologies for the image on the website. The red color of the bezel is a bit off. The actual color of the bezel as kind of a burnt red which looks a bit like the old bakelite bezels. It's a warmer hue and In my opinion gives the watch kind of a vintage vibe. It looks awesome on an admiralty grey NATO!

Re: OCEAN7 RE-LAUNCH
Thank you so much for the post. I still have my LM-2AD in brushed titanium and I wear it to the firearms range regularly. The time setting can be a bit fiddly, but one you get the hang of it it's a pice of cake! The visibility of the dial is great too!ANY9 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 11:18 amHey Pat, just wanted to thank you. The purchase experience was awesome and you were super patient with all my questions.

Wow great piece! If you would like to send it in we may be able to address the lume issue with a dial swap? Shoot us an email and we will see what options work best.

Re: OCEAN7 RE-LAUNCH
Sorry for the late reply. The dome crystal on the LM-1 is kind of a love it or hate it thing. Maybe we could explore a flat crystal on that piece. We are definitely some design tweaks for some of the classic designs if we get enough interest. Thanks for your postdeepcdvr wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 5:25 amprobably the dome-type crystal - it was hard to tell the time at an angle. Re: OCEAN7 RE-LAUNCH
Yeah, this is an odd turn of events.
A micro becomes much more interesting to me when the owner participates in the forum as an authentic watch enthusiast (i.e. Todd at Aegir, etc.). Alternatively, don't participate at all and just produce really interesting pieces and let them speak for you (i.e. Synchron).
This "I'll participate only if you guys talk about my stuff" strategy definitely sets you back in my book.
