I’m in the same boat. I like the OG 2-liner Pelagos and the BB58 a lot more.

But that means more for everyone else!
Same, same, but I do like the fixed lugs. I actually prefer the color and bezel of the original, which I am sure most will disagree with

Not sure why you'd want to give up a nice bracelet for a different bezel.

No date and fixed lugs, which I get isn't for everyone, but it's why I would choose it over the regular Pelagos.

Add to this the fact you will likely pay a premium for the privilege of not getting the fancy bracelet.

I like the new size and no date dial, but I would've been just as happy with drilled lugs and shoulder-less spring bars.

It's less than the standard Pelagos at $3900.

Those pictures show a different shade of blue than what I’ve been seeing on this one. Looks similar or the same as the current eyesore blue Pelagos.

Can anyone confirm?

i'm in the "give me the original 2 line version" crew, too.

It's really hard to tell with the pics whether the colors are truly different. I'm in the "not for me" camp on this one. I don't like the countdown bezel, I prefer a date, and I don't want a watch that can only be fitted with a fabric strap. I wonder how many non-watch nerd buyers are going to want something that takes fabric straps only.

But I can certainly see the appeal for someone who loves NATOs and digs the military vibe and the history.

It actually looks even lighter than the OG blue version in some of the pictures on Tudor's site. I think it's going to be impossible to tell if it's actually darker until it starts showing up in people's hands (I mean DavidSW's website).

Tudor is calling the new dial navy blue, vs just blue for the original. In some pics the new one has looked very dark blue. I'm pretty sure they're not the same, but if I were to go to pick one up and find it was the same blue as the original, I'll be walking out empty handed.

I’m thinking slightly different blue. But hard to tell For sure. I would think it’ll be a tad darker, deeper blue and less flashy

Anyway i am in 100% ImageImage

I like the thinner case, symmetrical cleaner no date dial (no more self-winding crap),
Also the lower WR allowing a thinner mid case and lower inner lug height with those crazy sharp inner edges to them, no HEV.
Fixed bar is cool too, I like that

Not to beat a dead horse, the original Pelagos blue is a little confounding, to say the least, when you first see it person.

Ignoring how someone might feel about the different style bezels, I have to say that I really prefer the font of the numbers on the new one.

So the original Pelagos was 50mm lug to lug and 42mm in diameter, and we all cried out for a smaller version.... and they give us a new Pelagos that is 52mm lug to lug and 42mm.... God Damnit Tudor!

I know it is a little thinner, but still...

Not only is the lug to lug long, but the strap is going to have to go around the full length of the lugs:

Which is going to cause it to flair out even further than it would if it had to go around a fixed spring bar in the usual spot.

I think is a pretty cool watch that will work well for some people, but the niche of people who have a large enough wrist for this watch and who will spend almost $4k for a nato only watch seems kinda small.

I’d imagine the L-2-L is the same, but measured a different way with the different style lugs.

I have talked with 2 ADs and neither got any at launch (as with the Blue BB58). SAying 2022......

Mine says same. I read somewhere that only 150 for 2021, so I’d imagine; 50 Europe / 30 USA / 70 China.

Likely (hopefully?) by Spring 2022.

Yeah, I would be a buyer at 40mm, but my BB58 blue is safe at these dimensions.

Maybe, but then they are still giving us a new Pelagos that is less versatile with similar dimensions as the original. Just strange decision making.

The fixed lug design really lends itself towards a smaller case.

First impressions I like it. Maybe it's time to add a Tudor to the collection
