markers, has a 42.5mm stainless steel case, 200m WR, sapphire

On top of that you have a mesh bracelet, leather, and fabric

Nice looking watches. I really like the deco style.

Its sad how many watch companies get the BAR vs depth rating wrong though :raised:

(20BAR = 190m)

Doesn't it depend on whether it's saltwater or freshwater? i.e you are correct for saltwater (where most people in the world dive), or freshwater, where 20 Bar is about 204 meters.

That is another issue. Yes, technically 20 bar is 203m of saltwater, 204m of fresh water.

The watch has been given a limit of 20bar. When you are diving you hit that at 190m. So the watch can't be rated to 200m if it has a 20bar limit. If the watch has been tested to 200m then it needs a 21bar rating.

Watchmakers look at a conversion chart and see 200m of water equates to 20bar of pressure and slap that on the watch dial. They forget that a diver and their watch experiences 1 bar per 10m of depth + 1 bar of atmospheric air (above the water) pressing on them. That will be 21bar of pressure on the watch seals at 200m.

The watch should be tested beyond 1 extra bar, but it just smacks of a company not understanding the environment their product will be used in. They are watchmakers, not dive masters. But they could have consulted more

Incorrect pressure ratings, manual helium release valves, and partially indexed bezels indicate a lack of understanding or fashion-over-function priorities. A bit like putting low-profile tyres on 4x4's

Thanks. I had not considered the "extra" atmosphere.
