Guessing game with prizes -- incoming

Post by hoppes-no9 » Sat Sep 18, 2021 11:59 am

Here are some hints:

- stainless steel, 100m WR
- relatively uncommon brand
- I've been branching out lately to non-round watches, e.g. GP Laureato, Santos
- integrated bracelet
- 40mm
- not a sports watch, but not a dress watch -- kind of in between
- time-only, no date
- willl fit easily under a cuff

More hints to come, if needed

First person to guess it gets a handful of straps.

All fine guesses, but Jason got it. Impressive on not much info! Send me your shipping address and I'll get some stuff in the mail.

I already have a Santos and Reverso. And the GO Seventies might very well be next on the list... :-)

Will post pics when it arrives next week, here's a stock photo for now:

congrats Dan!
look forward to your thoughts after spending some time with it.
i have been 'leaning hard' into picking one of these up myself, so the specs you listed rang immediately familiar, as they've been twirling about in my head for a while now already ; )
cheers!

Yeah, I'm buying it sight unseen, so a little trepidation. I have a feeling I'll like it. Two of my favorite watches in the current rotation are Genta-inspired -- GP Laureato and IWC Ingy 40mm. So I think it's a safe bet.

This is the "S" version which is new. A little thicker (at 6.2mm, LOL) but 100m WR with a screw-down crown. I'm willing to live with the extra 1mm for that.

Will keep you and the gang posted when it arrives.

Alright, this is crazy cool Dan ! :o , I don’t think I would
have ever gotten the guess right.

A GIANT congrats ahead of time here !!!

Honestly think it is so great how you are trying to branch
out, and looking into different kinds of watches like this. :salute:
Not only is it exciting, but it just opens the hobby up even
more imho. To the point where there are no limits. Or any
boundaries on what you will look at, and enjoy. It is just
phenomenal !

Which is what this watch will be when you get it. Man, and
you haven’t seen it in person either?! ..Exciting stuff sir !
