Henri Approaches!
I live in Patchogue on Long Island.
Current projections place landfall just about here.
Getting most things prone to blowing around into the shed or the house.
Job number one is battening down the coop.
Nothing fancy, mostly stockade fencing I use for kindling; hopefully it all comes back off on Monday.
Good luck to everyone in the storm's path; be safe.

Central CT here. Looks like a ton of rain. Hoping most of the heavy winds stay east.
Re: Henri Approaches!
Best of luck to those unfortunately in the path. Central NJ coast here, we’ll get rain and that’s about it hopefully.

Seacoast NH - just making sure the boat is OK. Watching the wind predictions to determine whether I need to pull down the canvas Bimini top or not.
Henri Approaches!
Dang, stay safe everyone, including the chickens and 4-legged critters.

Re: Henri Approaches!
Not the best feeling in the world to see where you live (Patchogue) on the updated weather map.
Re: Henri Approaches!
We have had bad storms since about 4PM here in Ocean City NJ (Island down from Atlantic City).
Sky was eerily dark to the east during the day before the rain hit.

Good luck Matt. And stay off your phone to keep it charged!

Re: Henri Approaches!
Storm shifted a bit east overnight and has been downgraded to a tropical storm. Still winds around 70 mph and lots of rain. Where I am is going to be more rain and less wind.

Wish I was there.
Re: Henri Approaches!
Rain and wind here in Mass- good luck Matt..
Re: Henri Approaches!
It was rainy and extremely windy in Cambridge, Massive Two Shits. Seems to have tapered off for the most part, or it's the eye of the storm.

Re: Henri Approaches!
Looks like the worst is through and it was pretty much just rain and some gusts of wind -none very strong.
Better to over prepare than regret not doing enough.
Tomorrow I will dis-mantle Fort Chicken Coop.

So glad Matt because they kind of scare you, or me I
mean with the forecasts. Let’s hope that you are
right, and that it doesn’t linger for as long as it could.
And hopefully it’s more of a rain event for you, along
with everyone.
Please keep us posted if you can, or want.

At least I charged the flashlights phone chargers.

Re: Henri Approaches!
A lot of rain (more tomorrow) and some wind, but no big deal up here. Boat was fine. Power didn't even flicker.
Cool and very foggy here though. Would be IFR if I were on the boat for certain. I've made the executive decision to leave the boat on the dock and instead cook some chorizo for dinner tonight with a nice glass of wine. Much safer option.

Glad everyone made it through.
Re: Henri Approaches!
Well, it was a French name, so I guess showing up with a white flag should have been expected!
