Muhle Rasmus 1000m
Muhle Rasmus 1000m
The good days of Fricker's cases are very much gone. I have good words for Rasmus with her toolish case design and some random thoughts,
1. The name Rasmus - I was wondering the meaning if it means diver in other languages. Argh, it's named after St. Erasmus Trassem - the patron saint for sailors. I pray she has the same protection for a diver like myself.
2. The unique design on this case is the nipple on the bezel. It reminds me a lot for Seiko Scubamaster "Stingray" kinetic. The nipples do provide better grip for turning the bezel. Thus, I do find useful instead just a design.
3. It's a 1000M ratings which is normal for most Fricker cases. But, it's heavy too! I try on a few natos till the right one that could balance the weight of the thick case.
4. I am done with orange dial watch for now. I would think orange bezel insert it's slightly too much but i haven't seen from others in this combination.
Cheers!

Nice case but that round white date window would do my head in.

They make bullet proof watches. Great pick up!

Had a black one years ago. Very cool watch, and always my favorite of the Fricker cases..
Re: Muhle Rasmus 1000m
I’m also a previous owner. I even had a PVD’d version with the red dial.
I missed the Fricker case so I picked up a Dreadnought.

Thanks guys! I noticed a black Rasmus circulate here years ago. Also, Dr. Jay owned the red PVD prototype model.
One more point, I also understand Muhle put in effort to rebuild ETA movement to their specs. Their movement requires servicing from 4-5 years comparing to others 3 years.

MG are under appreciated divers. I had a Nautic Timer that kept +/- 1 sec a day fir weeks on end. Some of their newer watches are a little uglier though

I had the blue and black. I love the design, but it would have been better in titanium. They were just too heavy.

Yeah, wow, such a fantastic find Kempo !
These cases, and really Muhle's designs, as well as combinations in general
look years ahead of their time. Actually maybe 100, or more years ahead
of their time. Because the watches don't look like anything from watch brands
today. And that is incredibly refreshing because so often brands seem to copy
each other. Building similar designs over, and over. However, the Rasmus stands
out looks wise, and name wise. ..I mean it just sounds cool !
And speaking of cool, that's what this orange is, and if this is going to be your
last orange watch. Then this one's remarkable ! A GIANT congrats there 2 U !!!

Man, I've always thought these were so dope – rarely get to see shots of 'em in the wild though, so thanks for sharing.
