SD TT - Opinions?
Ok, yay or nay? Since my dream of a AP RO or Diver is dead, started looking at this one as a target.

Re: SD TT - Opinions?
That looks sharp, but are you going to hit too many times where the TT bracelet will discourage you from wearing it?

Solid point. I don’t know how to be honest. I know the gold picks up scratches easily. Just love the look of black and gold - reminds me of my bike when I was a kid!

Re: SD TT - Opinions?
Call me crazy but these days I prefer the two tone to the steel.
SD TT - Opinions?
Not for me, but I understand the allure.
Edit: At that kind of money, how about a CHNR?

A TT sea dweller seems pretty silly to me historically. However, a TT sub Xl would probably be pretty cool if you have large wrist.

For a while, I was considering a TT Seamaster, but on the rubber strap.

I like it. Something out of he ordinary.

I don't like yellow gold, but rose gold looks great. I would do it.

That’s very nice. Love the gold tone on that one.mattcantwin wrote:For a while, I was considering a TT Seamaster, but on the rubber strap.

Re: SD TT - Opinions?
Can see what you guys are saying about the bracelet, but it
really is different, and just a phenomenal looking combination.
Plus, and correct me if I’m wrong, but can’t the bracelet be
replaced down the road if Chris wanted? Or not in this case?
Either way, I say it’s a stunner Chris. Go for it sir !

Re: SD TT - Opinions?
Of course I am biased..... I LOVE it!
Re: SD TT - Opinions?
It’s a little big for me, but I think it’s a great looking watch. If I were going to do a tt, it would probably be a gmt.
But all of that said, if you’re looking at it as an AP consolation prize, you ultimately probably won’t be happy, no matter how nice it is.

Love the Rolex and the Sedna gold Omega..but if you settle you probably won’t be happy… Both are great watches..

Re: SD TT - Opinions?
I think this works on a NATO, but the bracelet is too much. Those press photos seem to really downplay the blingy-ness of the gold. Other photos I have seen look very.... different. That dial would probably look killer on a Stainless Rolex, but I'm with Jacob in questioning the whole concept of a TT SD... although we are probably kidding our selves with a modern SD being a tool watch anyway.

Yeah not loving the tt sd... but I am up and down on this one... if it makes you happy get it... but for some reason imo this one doesnt look right when wearing it dressy or sporty!, like it cant find its place...
Like others like the idea of the rg tt gmt... but dont think that any of these will replace an AP if that is what you wanted

This is super nice. One of the few TT watches I love.Chocodove wrote:Not for me, but I understand the allure.

Not a fan of the TT SD as much.
Love the omega TT posted above too.

Re: SD TT - Opinions?
I’m a big believer in wear what you like - but tt SD removes it from any semblance of tool watch. I’m old and think that when Rolex put gold surrounds on the hour markers they ruined the SD by making it too bling, so take my opinion with a grain or two of salt…

Re: SD TT - Opinions?
That brown TT GMT is awesome... for a modern Rolex. I'd much prefer this though
Re: SD TT - Opinions?
I have seen the SD TT - it is nice.
This is one you may actually have a chance of getting at an AD. Two tone are easier than the plain old SS.

In the Line of Fire has been in steady rotation on cable lately. This watch shows up in several scenes on Eastwood's wrist - it looks great.JP Chestnut wrote: ↑Tue Jul 06, 2021 11:16 amThat brown TT GMT is awesome... for a modern Rolex. I'd much prefer this though

This is hot
Also really like the two tone rose gold Seamaster:

Re: SD TT - Opinions?
I think the PCL’s need to be brushed, and then it would be great. Or, at least more wearable.
