CGI Security Warning
I wanted to use CGI this morning; logged in from Favorites as I usually do.
I got a security alert stating the site is not secure.
Anyone come across this?

Re: CGI Security Warning
I get the same warning on my phone for this site.
Re: CGI Security Warning
Centinelcorp.com won’t even load on my phone. Did they change their address?

Re: CGI Security Warning
Andrew has talked about that. IIRC he said he could set it up as secure but chose not to — either because it’s hard to do or it slows down the forum. I can’t remember which. He said it wasn’t worth it since we’re not doing anything sensitive on here (eg, sharing SS# of CC information).
In short, it’s no need to worry.

It sounds like nothing has changed on his end of things.JP Chestnut wrote: ↑Sat Jun 26, 2021 11:13 amAndrew has talked about that. Any idea why the alert is just showing up now?

Re: CGI Security Warning
I see it sometimes and not others depending on if I’m on my phone, my PC, or various apple laptops. I’d just assume it’s due to an update of something.mattcantwin wrote: ↑Sat Jun 26, 2021 12:16 pmIt sounds like nothing has changed on his end of things.JP Chestnut wrote: ↑Sat Jun 26, 2021 11:13 amAndrew has talked about that. Re: CGI Security Warning
Right, we could add a security certificate to DWC to avoid these warnings, but there's no real advantage to it since there is no sensitive information being exchanged with the server. But if the warnings are becoming annoying we can pursue it.JP Chestnut wrote: ↑Sat Jun 26, 2021 11:13 amAndrew has talked about that. Re: CGI Security Warning
So confused. Are we talking about cgi the 3rd party shipping insurer or the DWC website?

Re: CGI Security Warning
Just a quick note to let you know that I'll be enabling https on DWC this evening. Once enabled, you should no longer see security warnings from your browser. I'll post again once it's enabled. Unfortunately, I won't be able to fix the CGI site
Re: CGI Security Warning
Fwiw CGI was acquired by another company recently. I have been largely using https://shipinforsure.com lately.

Re: CGI Security Warning

Re: CGI Security Warning
This is because Tapatalk is brain dead and doesn't know how to perform a redirect to the secure site. I've made a small update to the Tapatalk configuration for DWC, please try now and let me know if that fixes the issue.
