Timex x MadeWorn's American Documents L.E.

Post by AtomicTom » Fri Jun 18, 2021 11:15 am

Hey everyone, have you by chance seen Timex's newest watch in the American
Documents series?

It's the Timex x MadeWorn American Documents L.E. Having details like
a patina-like aged/distressed case, dial, and even leather strap. With each
going through a special process to make them look older. The dial even
has an an eye-catching AM/PM design.

Just a few of the main details include a 41mm case, 30m WR, along with
Swiss quartz movement behind a medallion case-back too.

Just a few pictures...

Well, you'd never have to worry about that first scratch!

I don't get it. What about 8 AM or 5 PM? So now everything between 6 and 12 is night, even if it's morning? WTF! The ultimate cancel culture watch! LOL

Huh. You can only tell time half of the time. Kinda pricey, too. Yet, I’ll agree it has some appeal.

Bottom line - pass.

Looks like most of my watches after 3-4 years of ownership. Like this, but hate to think what it'll look like after 3 years...

It's got a certain appeal, but not 850 bucks worth.

It’s a watch that kind of has you, or us ‘split’ about it right
guys?! Am honestly still going back, and forth on it. One
second the AM/PM dial looks terrific, but then the next it
seems like it is confusing, or odd. And the patina/aging is
unique because it looks vintage/used, and worn. However,
don’t we want to be in charge of how scratched our watches
get?! Or look?! :)

It’s overall actually fun to see though. With maybe the price
being the one true drawback. ..No matter what though, it
is really terrific hearing what you guys think, and thought !
Thanks so very much for giving your two cents as always
everyone !!!

It's interesting, but too pricey. The pic of the hand holding the axe is kind of creepy.
