New - Unimatic Modello Quattro

Post by hoppyjr » Mon Dec 14, 2020 11:08 am

They released their new “Modello Quattro” today. It’s based off the Modello Uno and about same case dimensions, but with a fixed bezel.

Same 22mm lugs. Same big crown. Same Seiko engine.

Extra lume. Fixed bezel. 40mm case. Drilled lugs.

It’s sold out on Hodinkee (duh) and was $560 plus tax & shipping.

I like it, although no moving bezel and no date shuts it down for me..

Strangely reminds me of my MM300

The date isn’t important; there are seven, rinse & repeat.

You know Hoppy, I swear every one of their watches is impressive really.
And it's not only looks wise, but price wise right?! ..I mean trying to find
a classic that looks like this vintage wise is tough. So Unimatic having these
beauties for people is great imho. Seriously is a sharp looking watch sir !
Nice, and clean, and super cool !! 8-) 8-) Extremely cool to see too sir, so
thanks a ton !!!

There's no moving bezel, but does this model feature the moving dial that a previous model did? ;)

It seems they fixed that issue when they went to metal movement retainers. It did turn me off to the brand, especially when combined with the rude customer service experience.

Tucker has had great luck with all the models he’s owned.

I've always liked Modello. Have owned a few, and still have one. This one however, is the first version that I don't really care for.

Got busy today, didn’t think it would sell out quickly and missed out. Maybe there will be a second wave released.

These look nice, but oos. I imagine many of these will make their way to eBay.

I can’t imagine the damage I’d inflict on that bezel.
Looks great, though.

Ed prefers watches with pubes on the dial.

It looks like a cool model. A couple of tweaks and it could be great!

I think this looks great.
Didn’t realize this brand sells out so fast.

Will they restock these or this this some sort of limited edition that people on IG fight over?
