BB58 Blue is in!

Post by tmw » Thu Jul 02, 2020 7:37 am

Wow.

Color blue is right.

I have had about 4 original flakes and this is as good. Great match of blue.

Wears thin and the bb58s are the best modern subs.

Now to size the bracelet. And peel the stickers (which is very satisfying).

Current prediction: keeper. Wearer.

I think it looks great. I'd prefer a NOS 79090, but this is just about the only new watch that interests me at all.

Looks good. Glad you were able to get it at retail. The early grey prices are over 5k.

Congrats!!

I’m really loving this.
I hope to see one in person at some point.

I had plans to get a speedmaster when done with school. But I think it may be this new blue 5-8. So nice!

I’d love to see Craniotes do a side to side with the new 58 and my old snowflake he has now.

It is really close in color - that is what makes the bb58 navy work!

I do wish the BB, all versions, how a more pronounced bezel. That's the only thing it's missing to become the new 14060m

Looks amazing. As you said, very close to the OG snowflake blue.

Sadly, looks like I waited too long yesterday and lost out on the one I had dibs on.

Remember... the original vintage no date snowflake was almost virtually unobtanium. And now...welll unobtainium and a bigger truck load of money.

And hell, you wont be afraid to wear, and crazy service costs.....

Congrats, looks really good! The bracelet is nice but I wear mine mostly on natos. Give it a try because its super comfortable (and the blue/grey Tudor nato looks really nice).

Tudor stopped "throwing in" the nato a couple of years ago. My guess is that this is no different - you have to choose bracelet, leather, or nato.

I hope I’m wrong about this BB58 package but I had understood that Tudor discontinued including 2 strap options with their newer releases sometime last year or even year before

Crown and Buckle Chevron straps are pretty close. Not made on Tudor's fancy antique loom, but good for the money.

No Nato is included. Only one of the choices.

I had the BB58 Gilt on the tudor nato. It quickly came off and went on a shiznet (the only way to rock). Then I got the bracelet and never came off. At some point, a blue nato….but for now, its about the bracelet - which is very comfortable.

It does make me miss the gilt - but I thought it had too much / or over the top amount of gilt.

They are going to have a long waitlist and sell a ton of these.

It's really amazing how beautiful this one looks, and evidently is Todd ! :excited: 8-)
First off, the blue really does look outsanding. Not only is it just right,
it just rocks !!! :headbang:

You can see it's like this royal blue, mixed with a deep darker blue. By
the looks of it, can imagine it must, or might shift, or transition in all
kinds of light. What's neat, is that's just the color of the dial ! :o The
fit, and also finish around every millimeter of this beauty is out of this
world. Yowza, enjoy, and HUGE congratulations here !!!

But without the fancy loom, no one will know how successful I am. Devastatingly good looks only get you so far.

Those chevron straps are a really great fit for the BB58. The B and R woven natos are also nice.
