Post by AtomicTom » Tue Dec 03, 2019 11:43 am

Has everybody had a chance to see Hamilton's new American
Classic Spirit of Liberty watches already?

These brand new watches, or collection honor Andrew Hamilton.
With a brushed a 43mm polished stainless steel case, AR coated
sapphire crystal, oyster gray, sepia brown, and champagne gold
dials with leaf hands, and tapered baton hands, Hamilton H-10
automatic, and special leather straps, and bracelets too.

Just a few pictures...

Not bad, I like them. Thanks for posting Tom.

Hamilton's American Classic Spirit of Liberty watches

I don’t understand watches like this. It looks like a dress watch, but has a date window, is fairly large and is mounted to a casual strap. It has no lume and probably isn’t very rugged or waterproof.
What’s it for?

39mm on that bracelet would be tempting. The problem is I’ve never had a Hamilton bracelet that didn’t suck.

These have been around for years, looks like nothing's changed unless there's a few new dial colors.
Tried a couple on about 4 years ago, including the chrono and loved the look, but the straps were waay too stiff and uncomfortable, but the they do look nice with the Andrew Hamilton quote:
"WITHOUT LIBERTY, LIFE IS A MISERY"

Looks like we are kind of split on these from what everyone's saying.
Kind of thought they were pretty cool honestly. Meshing an almost
vintage Hamilton feel with something from the Grand Seiko line.

Seems like the fit, and finish is on a really high level, and have to
admit, the straps are a nice touch also.

It's great hearing everyone's different opinions. Thank YOU ! :)
