Really loving this one. Unfortunately for starters it's in white gold 5168G, but I'm hoping maybe one day they'll release a SS variant.
I've been admiring the standard diver for a long time but on me it looks funny every time I try it on at AD.
This one is 42mm, still thin at 9.2 but the diameter is right up my alley. So here's to Patek making a SS version soon

She's a beauty, but I wouldn't count on a SS version anytime soon - it would completely kill the white gold sales, which is where all the margin is at for PP..

I could suffer with that one...in SS.

I will be really interested to see it in person at some point. I love the 5167, but it always felt a little too small on the rubber strap. I actually think the 5164 would be the best for me, and that is the one on my long term radar.

I always liked the SS Aquanaut and wondered if the SS version could be a one watch candidate on rubber and bracelet but never took the leap.

Travel Time is still my favorite Aquanaut. Aren't SS offerings from Patek typically rare?

What makes this a diver? Depth rating? Name? No function aside being a three-hander. Obviously no elapsed time bezel. So, what makes this a diver?

only accurate watches are interesting

Yeah, what he said.
How is this different than a regular Aquanaut? Looks the same to my uninformed eye.

42mm
White gold
Blue dial
It's not a diver. It's barely a sports watch.

Thanks for that. I don't see the appeal of this one at all. And a diver it ain't. Of course, I'll likely never have the funds for one of these but if I did, I wouldn't drop it on this one.

Love this one. Best of all, it's not a limited edition so we can all get one !

You should get three, then forget two in your safe.

Wish it was in SS because the 42MM case would be perfect... Find the 40MM version a bit small on the bracelet.
But $35K or so

I don't think this was ever marketed as a diver by Patek...

Yeaah, Patek calls it "The perfect dress sports watch" not a diver per se.
Although I've seen the Diver reference in various articles when the "High-End" sports/dive watches were mentioned.
I mean it is 120M WR and screw down crown and comes on a rubber strap - I would totally desk-dive and shower with it on my wrist

Someone flooded a 1.5 year old nautilus and ruined it. They contact patek who said "seals went bad should have checked them and replaced at one year".
These high end watches are delicate.
