TimeMachinist: Machines That Tell Time
TimeMachinist: Machines That Tell Time
I think you guys talked about this company a while back. Just finding out about
them though. Along with a couple watches called the Naval destroyer, and Innerspace
Unlimited.
Looks like the American company was started by Cal Giordano, who is the man
behind Tailgunner Exhausts too. So the watches are very different, and include
specifications like 57 mm cases, thick dual crystals, recessed dials with sleek
hands, and markers. Plus Roman numerals to add a little more character.
On top of everything it looks like there is also a different way of time setting with
the watches. In which you access an inner module within the case after removing
12 Allen screws with special supplied tool.
Making everything tick is the Miyota 2035 Super Quartz also, and straps are a water-
proof Ted Su Swiss Ammo leather everyone.
Here is a look...
Here's a look at the box...

That is absurd. Laughable, really. And what software are you using to post, Tom? I ask because there are always weird spacing issues, like one word of a sentence on one line.
You give respect, you'll get respect - you just don't know your place.

sometimes "because you can" is not a good reason.

Re: TimeMachinist: Machines That Tell Time
I sorta get it as a one off project from somebody's home shop, but making the leap to hoping some one else will buy it is a bit much. The box is cool, I guess, but it costs about as much as the device inside (putting a movement inside something doesn't make it a watch). Having to take it apart to set it is both silly and another hallmark of a personal vanity project.

I remember this guy from WUS. I think he started building for himself, working in the marine industry.
If you read the review Tom posted the link to you'll find the price: $2400 watch only, $4700 with box.

My first thought was the bezel/dial reminded me of this....
And the side view reminded me of this....

Compared to this, those Enzo's were works of art.

That guy medusa on WUS always posts these. Is this his company or is* he just the sole brand ambassador?

That's who I was thinking of. He makes them, IIRC.

All that machinery and there's a quartz in it. Then you have to take the watch apart to set.

It looks like it belongs at the end of an exhaust pipe.
It's a beautiful world! Gerald.
Re: TimeMachinist: Machines That Tell Time
All that time handmaking the case and it looks like the dial was printed on his inkjet.
