Nite's new Icon automatic

Post by AtomicTom » Mon Oct 26, 2015 11:37 am

Have you ever noticed how many tritium tube watches mostly seem to use quartz movements?

Nite is adding an automatic called the Icon automatic to their line-up now. The new watch has a 44mm the Sellita SW200 within it's 44mm stainless steel case, sapphire crystals, Swiss made GTLS (Gaseous Trium Light Sources) by mb-microtec. Plus your choice of leather strap, or stainless steel bracelet.

A few pictures guys...

That's a really clean look. I like it. Date window is a bit off, but could be overlooked. Thanks Tom.

Do you have the option of paying more to get the correct size hands?

Those look like actual watch hands, only smaller. Fail.

Maybe Carlo can get that contract!

I see an eminently readable 44mm field watch; short hands notwithstanding.

I'd rather have a Ball Fireman.

Nothing special I guess, not a bad looking watch, hands are indeed too short.

Even the second hand is small. Probably due to the huge dial size. 44mm is very big on this style watch.

Series of misses....

Post by dmgreen11 » Tue Oct 27, 2015 7:37 am

Date - miss

Short hands - miss

44mm for this style of watch - miss

$1,000 - Steinhart could do this for $500, and it would look better

I'd go with a Ball watch to satisfy my tritium tube itch.

Darren
