Why are you making fun of a gift from your well-meaning nephew Mr. Meany Pants?
It's not so bad though.

That sounds like the voice of experience.

You give respect, you'll get respect - you just don't know your place.

It's not the worst I've seen by a LONG shot. I like a lot of Fossil's designs.

It's 48mm. Larger than the Ralf Tech. (47.5mm)
I won't wear either one.
Even the Craftsman, at 46mm, is too big.
42mm is the largest I can tolerate.
Sigh, I'm just too old for the latest fashion watches.

That is a biggun Dave. I think it looks decent though.

Define 'decent'.
Dictionary says, 'conforming to the recognized standard of propriety'.
Standard-noun, 'something considered by an authority or by general consent as a basis of comparison; an approved model'.
Not applicable to this watch. Or is it just me?

looks pretty cool IMO.
that is an interesting movement. Quartz for the hour and minute hands, and an automatic to run the sub seconds and to show the balance wheel. Best of both worlds, auto smooth sweep, and quartz reliability!
Very cool gift from your nephew, i had the same movement in a fossil of mine which i gave to a friend, he still wears it and loves it.

We might as well close this thread now (

). Won't come a better answer than this anyways...

True, I agree, but it's just too damn big.
And to top it all off, the watch has to be dismantled to change the battery.
Google: Fossil Twist battery change.

So I guess it's like a Spring Drive?
