still killing time...

Post by theoilrigger » Wed May 19, 2010 11:03 am

so I decided to take my LV apart and give it a good cleaning last week. when I got to the lugs I realized that the solid end links where wearing on the serial #s...

so on a whim, I decided to order an aftermarket bracelet w/ hollow end links. just got it today and w/ a little tlc, they fit nice and flush! now I can wear the LV anywhere and have no worries about scratching or destroying the OEM bracelet. plus as an extra bonus, the hollowed end links now preserves the serial #s tucked in b/t the lugs.

if this works out well, I might just order an OEM bracelet from Rolex with hollow links. I just wonder if these links will fit the Sub???

maybe one of you guys could help me out and see if the bracelet on a ND Sub will fit on a regular Sub...

any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

heres a quick pic of the new bracelet!

Bo, that really sounds like some of the dumb shit i've been doing with my Rolex! Now i know why you guys were so hard on me! Let me see if i can find one post by Adam that snapped me out of it!

now i know it's not mesh but i have a feeling he might still feel the same way!!

Adam..

Friends don't let friends wear mesh. Period. It looks like crap on any watch -- even the PloProf -- but here it looks like shite, plain and simple. Put the Oyster back on, as God intended, and be done with it.

I don't care what a Submariner is made out of, it's a freakin' Submariner. Treat it with the respect it deserves.

I have spoken.

Regards,
Adam

The hollow link bracelet should fit on the LV only because the hollow links are flexible. It's definitely not made to fit it, though.

The LV is a great watch - I love the old-style case combined with the maxi dial/hands.
