Does anyone know this Zenrag A Hole from WUS?

Post by JDC222 » Sat Mar 02, 2013 10:00 am

I don't know who this guy thinks he is! I commented on a Certina DS II Red Dot that he has and mentioned that if was ever thinking of selling or trading, to let me know. He responded with this " Not cool, unsolicited offer...blah, blah, blah" bullshit. I responded accordingly, with "Ok little fella, won't happen again", to which he says "Fuck you".
This guy is in my city....

I do know him.
He is a member at Freeks as well.

I don't know why your pm was taking rudely. I have done the same to others, and have people that pm me asking the same from time to time.

Nonetheless , normally not a bad guy, though sometimes he can be rough around the edges.

I don't think that's BS. In our world alot happens in a few months. You decided it was time to sell , and you gave him first crack. He decided no . So you just put it up for sale. I don't think that's a big deal really.

He is rough around the edges I think but didn't see him as a bad guy. Now that reply to you is just wrong. Surprised he react like that. Wow. Disappointing.
I have had people reach out to me like that and there is nothing wrong with it. I actually like it as it may allows me to sell the watch without the hassle of posting it and dealing with some of the wackos out there.

I think being able to ask like that and make offers is what makes us a community. I've never even questioned pming someone and asking that if its a watch I liked.
And it's worked for me in the past as they ended up selling to me.
That response was just plain wrong.
That's the kind of response that if you were in front of me I would contemplate throat punching you.

You're wrong here Mike. People's finances change all the time and a guy might not be in a position to buy something he was interested in six months or a year ago. Expressing interest in something is certainly not a binding offer to buy.

I'm not surprised by anything over there.

FWIW, I did a deal with him in the spring and it was easy and straightforward.

Good to hear that I am not delusional here! I like that "sense of community", with open conversation and being able to make an offer or discuss a sale...

Here he is...I love the internet!

Maybe he had a bad day.

On the sale side, he's sold several watches and never read or heard of issues.

Very true Brice, everyone has bad days....BUT, when you tell me to FO for no reason, I am going to make your bad day worse!

Ok, ok...I take that back...deep breath.

From now on, I'm rewording my interest from "let me know if you're ever looking to sell " to " request first right of refusal"

I think I've only had two successful sales when someone call dibs. I don't see it as an issue at all
One thing I see around here is watches changing owners with out a sale's ad that tells me a lot of members here keep there word when they say dibs on your watch.

Wow, that was completely uncalled for, no two ways about it. That's not "rough around the edges", that's straight up scumdick shit.

Kinda wish he'd try and sign up here, like Janne did... :stir:

Regards,
Adam

PS - I have folks pinging me all the time about my watches, and I've even sent a few unsolicited inquiries out as well. Zero harm in it, IMO.

I've bought several watches here by PMing people asking to let me know if they sell. All it does is make your life easier as a seller if you know you have a buyer waiting. What that guy said was definitely uncalled for.
