I do believe that is the most times I've seen "shit bag" in a single post....well done!

I don't think I could own one.The bad thing if a owner of one of these try to post one some forum member mite be rude so it would ruin your bragging rights with a new watch and that would suck just my thoughts I mite be wrong.

No way for me, I'd pickup a nice preowned Stingray, and if I wanted the black finish send it to Motor City Watch Works for a ceramic coating.

In the articles i have read since seeing this thread, it says " time will tell if the business is affected" Personally this is the first i have heard of this. So if the company has retail outlets rather than just online sales, then maybe it will survive.

If not and going by you guys as a poll of public opinion, that company is sunk.

Would be shame if you had no knowledge of your brothers activities and it was to drag you down after putting in your time and money and most likely years of effort.

I want to say that the perv was the main driving force behind the company, until the allegations started to surface. Then, stuff was put in his brother's name or some shit like that. Either way, I wouldn't own one. First of all, it doesn't say "Rolex" on the dial. :raised: :koolaid:

Second of all, I'm not giving one penny that could go towards an appeal or put money in his jailhouse account to buy shit from "The Joint" commissary. Fuck him. Reap it Perv.

When that story broke, I made some comments on WUS, along with some others and they were quickly snuffed out and stern warnings given. Ernie himself shut down a few threads and held a few forum "press conferences". Basically, he said leave my paying sponsor alone. It was only after the anti-Corvus movement grew that he decided he should throw Corvus under the bus rather than face the wrath of a growing group of members.

Accusations of child pornography aren't like being accused of steroid abuse, cheating on your wife, or embezzeling money. It's a very harsh and taboo accusation and normally where there is smoke there is fire. In this case, it was a 3 alarm, all hands on deck, blazing inferno. Fuck him and fuck Ernie for ever trying to salvage the business relationship.

I think you guys are right.

I looked at the other options and the MkII watches don't do it for me for some reason and the Precista versions feel too small.

I think I'll just save up for a GMT Pepsi or a PloProf instead although I do like the bezel on the Corvus a lot. It's a shame what perverts do.

And the guy was a local prosecutor, I feel that makes it even worse.

You have to stand behind something you sell. If you're an effin douchebag, what can I expect from your watches..
It's a matter of principle..

I heard Cam and Cap are gonna be designing a watch in prison. It's 49mm, yellow with a Spongebob dial, and dispenses candy "Pez" when you turn the crown. On every hour it plays the Hannah Montana theme. :banplz: Those sickos are gonna get their issue in this world or the next.

Would I buy a Corvus watch? Yes... yes I would... how much does a new dial cost again?

Really though, I'd buy a used one if the price was right (sub $700 maybe?). I wouldn't have an issue wearing the watch because one of the owners is a POS.

Now, buying new is a different story IMHO since there's a chance Mr.Sicko could still be profiting from sales.

I have to agree.

..... and, I also have to say... glad so many of us think alike. Some great comments here.

I really like the looks of it [clean simple dial].

I passed. My thinking was save up some more $$ and get another Sub. I was thinking a nice 5512 or 14060. I pulled the trigger eventually on a pre-owned Rolex Sub no date instead. Took me awhile, but I went ahead and pulled the trigger.

It's actually one of my favorite watches.
