PMs were all related to old PMs that didn't send notifications - maybe something was fixed? I woke up with like 30 new emails and I was like WTF IS WRONG?!?!

Same here, 19 notifications for old PMs. Like yours, I had never gotten the notification emails when the PMs were originally sent. Sort of the electronic equivalent of "No, I wasn't sleeping. Honest."
If you put a large switch in some cave somewhere, with a sign on it saying 'End-of-the-World Switch. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH', the paint wouldn't even have time to dry.

Same happened to me yesterday.
I wasn't getting email notification for like past week or two, guess the system decided to play catchup.

I got a bunch. Wasn't doing anything yesterday, so maybe a soft aware glitch? Who knows?

I noticed that today my PM notifications are arriving promptly in my email. Maybe they fixed something.

18 here. It's like the PM system took a digital Ex-Lax.

The fact that many people received far more phantom PM notifications than me is making me very insecure.
