School Me on the Citizen Aqualand
Re: School Me on the Citizen Aqualand
I hear that bracelet is pretty good. Diver's extension and all.
Re: School Me on the Citizen Aqualand
Fixed up an AY series for a friend, retired Army special forces, his saw good deal of action including tactical exercises, dives, jumps state side and in Afghanistan. All in all the watch held up pretty good, strap did break and glass was heavily scratched, however all functions still intact. Acquired new strap, gaskets, and glass from julesborel and replaced battery.

Some features I like:
Check out the crown...

...and the bezel... made to be touched with wet hands.

The funky hands and deep black dial. The hour markers seem to float on the dial. It disappears.

Overall, just a cool dive watch.

My first diving watch, series 2, and the only watch I ever owned with a battery.hks3sgte wrote:It seems to be a fairly popular watch. At first, it didn't do anything for me but I'm starting to dig it. So, what's the deal? Anyone have any info on them? Some good links to share?
Brilliant, no other word for it.

The 7548 is more subtle. It's a well-made watch, much better than modern, entry-level Seikos. If I found a mint 7548 I would buy it over an NY0040. But, there's more factors... vintage/modern, quartz/auto etc etc
