Rolex help needed again

Post by falcon4311 » Wed Oct 28, 2015 3:05 pm

Hey Guys,

I just took delivery of Rob's Explorer II and I was wondering if anyone might know what size and power Cyclops it takes? I know they are easy to install, but I'm having my watchmaker do it. I guess I'll have to buy one off of Ebay.

If I could I would buy another crystal and save the one on it.

Congratulations on a great pick up Don.

I second that. I wish mine did not have it.

I would either leave it, or buy a new crystal from Rolex.. I don't think I could handle knowing I had a fake cyclops, or any fake parts on my Rolex.. If you do install a replica cyclops, make sure when you sell it to let the buyer know!

Even if it has Hubble Telescope magnification you still won't be able to see the date. ;)

Don:

Even if it has Hubble telescope-like magnification you still won't be able to see the date.

Leave it be and don't wreck a perfectly good ♛!

What did the woman at the grocery store think about it when you asked her? Maybe she will want you to order her a magnifier, as well!

Leave the watch as is and get the cyclops for yourself.

You and I have to have a chat the next time I see you! :bootyshake: Do you only chime in when you see an opportunity to attack, short stuff? Actually, Rob forgot to put the original crystal in the box, I'm getting Simone to swap it out. I just want it to look original.

By the way, I've warned people about leaving the stickers on the case back before. This one is a prime example as to why, there is pitting on the case back, no fault of Rob's. Simone said she can take it out.

Obviously not Don, otherwise he'd be "chiming in" on your posts daily....... Hahahaha

Don:

Sure we can chat; did you want another tutorial on sighting-in rifles and submachine guns? Or do you just want to be the target of my rapier wit? Can Clem come along for the chat, too?

Oh Don... we love you like a great-great-great-great grandfather.

Nice watch! I have the black dial version with original crystal and unaltered bracelet links.

Oh Don. I don't have a need to "stand up" when I'm sparring with a mental midget.. ;)

I'm not exactly sure what is going on here. the cyclops part or the banter. Ok, maybe the former, but definitely not the latter.
