Some history; in 2008 the original owner, a Veitnam veteran, sent this watch to IWW for service. At that time we serviced the movement, replaced the crystal, crown, tube and as the luminous material was black and falling out of the hands, we decided to apply new luminous material in a vintage hue.

In 2014 we serviced the movement again and about 6 months later I purchased the watch from the owner.

I replaced the crown and tube with a NOS, correct TR 900 crown and tube. You can imagine these are few and far between and EXPENSIVE.

The strap is original to the watch but the buckle had been lost so it's been replaced.

Fixed bars are intact, the dial is VG/EXC overall condition, the bezel has 1 crack at 1 o'clock. The case back has not been polished and all text is legible including the serial # 0714.

$90,000.00 OBRO

Just a little out of my price range :o :o :o

Pretty amazing watch Paul !

Actually just finding out about these thanks to you. Love the Blancpain
style, but also the history that's behind it. Not so much the price, ..but
definitely the watch, and story, or stories it has.

Thanks very much !

90K is a looot of money...but how many T-R 900s are out there in the entire world? Maybe 25? This watch is a lot rarer than a MilSub.

This one sold for 36,000.00 a few years ago with prices going up since this one was sold he mite get 60,000.00 for it and maybe the asking price that's why you hold on to desirable military issued dive watches. There are people with that kind of money who have discovered military watch collecting and it's getting crazy. Jack does have a nice watch most military collector would be envious to own.

I sold one of these for 900 a few years ago look what this guy wants and this Frenchy is asking crazy money for all his issued watches.

I see a lot of jealousy when it come to some vintage watches none of us can afford like a British issued Omega 300 or Rolex Sub or the American issued Tornek Rayville now all the guys crying because they can't afford them saying there over priced well there so few of them that's makes them high in price quantity and demand makes the price . Now If you had money to burn and could afford some rare watches were 60,000 or more is nothing just junk change you would not be crying you would be making Jack a offer just my two cents. I envy any one who could afford these. I buy what I can afford some of my issued watches have went up in value and I would not pay the going rate of todays prices on them. Just wished I picked up a Tudor Snowflake MN with decom papers when I first started collecting the price was not bad at the time I cried about that now there out of my price range :scream:

90k for a watch. It's history is that it's been serviced. Um, sorry to be blunt but that's ridiculous.

I got this from Jack he sold it for a fair price what they were selling at the time it has went up in value a little and that only a year ago.
Image
Now if the going price is close to 90,000 why sell it for a lower price would not make business sence and it will go up in price just like the Omega 300 I got from Jack. In 5-10 years that Tornek Rayville 900 will be worth 110.000 or more if there still watch collectors with big money in there pockets. I bought a Tudor snowflake some years ago was not that long ago to me for 2000 now worth 3800-4200 back then I told members here buy vintage most did not listen it's money in the bank with the right watch some vintage watches are a flop but vintage watches that were cool when they were first made and even more cool now are the ones to collect. If there are less of these than British issued subs that I saw one sell for 100,000 it's going up in price and will some day match the issued subs in price. Thank god they made a lot of Benrus type I & II issued watches still sort of affordable some one should get that type I in our sales forum right here it will go up in value a tip. I know a collector that I met at the Alameda antique show that sold his whole vintage watch collection to buy a house would of liked to see that collection before it went by by there's money in vintage watches. Would love to see a Tornek Rayville 900 on the antique road show on TV and see what they value it.

Wow! I've never seen one FS, and always kind of wondered what they'd go for. That's a lot!

That seems too high, but I know someone who paid close to that amount for a nicer one. It's cool as shit though.

I would too. Those guys generally have no clue as to "real world" value when it comes to vintage watches. Something as rarefied as a Tornek Rayville 900 would cause the appraiser's head to explode!

Queuecumber has one of the best (all original) examples of this watch I've seen. It's definitely a special rare bird but I'd rather take my chances with a PN Daytona or Milsub for nearly 6 digits.
