Opinions on the Oceans 7 LM 1 and fair market value?

Post by falcon4311 » Tue Dec 15, 2009 3:51 pm

I've heard both good and bad when it comes to this watch. I am wondering what your thoughts are on this watch and what is a fair price for one in this condition? Here are some pics, it's in good shape as you can see. BTW, I'm an immigrant from XMT.

Re: Can anyone give me an idea on the value of an Oceans 7 LM 1?

WUS prices are all over the place. Value may possibly be slightly lower with the new LM-1's out now. I'm guessing in the vicinity of $350 (low-end) to $550 (upper-end) depending on what's included, age, condition, etc...

Just an educated guess though. No personal experience with buying or selling the LM-1. But you said you needed a quick answer, so just trying to give you some input

I think when I was looking they were around 550-850, but I never ended up with one...That looks to be in pretty good shape...

I've heard good things on them, but really have no first hand info...

You said you needed a quick opinion so this might be too late...There are some pretty strong opinions about this company...The LM-1 was well received and from what I read on the WUS Ocean7 forum seemed to be a decent watch.. I think $500-750 would be decent value..

Hey Falcon, welcome to DWC. I recently received a LM1 on trade. At first I was reluctant to receive it, even to the point of contacting him to let him know the trade was off. I told him I would ship his back to him once I received it. It sat boxed up for a few days when I decided to open the box and inspect it myself. To make a long story short, I honored the trade and shipped mine to him and apologized.

Here is a pic of mine... 007/150

The original LM1 was a swiss contracted watch by a decent contract supplier
There were some 2824 failures in the original batch but they were corrected
The design is nice, the lugs are drilled too far out so most straps have a large gap
The bezel triangle did not line up on mine
It was an accurate watch and a good value at the time , this was before Mitch went to chinese manufacturers
Used 400-450 is probably fair , new I think was 699.
watchseller sold a mint one for 450
good luck it is a good watch
