Guten tag von Deutschland, meine Freunden (und Freundinen)! I am settled into my hotel now and ready for a jetlag-induced nap. Thought I'd post a few early photos. Dinner tonight with Lange's marketing manager and their US PR rep.

I knew I was in for a good trip when I noticed the clocks in the Frankfurt Lufthansa lounge were all Glashutte Original...

Not sure how much I'll be posting here in the coming days. But I'm posting a daily dispatch over at hodinkee.com, so check it out.

The day starts with the IHT and a strong coffee in Frankfurt Airport.

Absolutely LOVE Germany!!! :clap: :clap:

All the airports have great 'eye candy' watches to peruse while waiting on your flight. Some of the train stations even have great watch stores. You should definitely take a day and just jump on a train and explore. Go see some of the great churches, beer gardens (in that order!! :whistle:), beer gardens and (almost forgot) beer gardens!

Anyway, looks like you are off to a good start, Jason!

I went for a stroll this afternoon... stumbled across a GREAT vintage watch shop. The old owner spoke no English so I had to get by on my college German (which is improving!). He had a lot of Glashutte Original pieces from the '60s and '70s, as well as selling new Sinns and Tutimas. I am very tempted to pick up a GO diver... he had a couple of beauties. He wouldn't let me photograph inside though.
