Just a head's up - if you're in the market for a Orient, they are running a 'special' 50% off for PMWF members. I recall that they were 'never' going to run another 50% off sale.... what a joke.
Includes free shipping, a catalog and t-shirt.
I might pull the trigger on the Hogrider - any experience with one?
Then again, I might not.
Peace out.

They are funny. If you go to website it shows that discount code right below the watch lol.
No hogrider exp but I know SonnyD has at least 1 and he loves it.

They just posted that you can get bulk pricing (65% off) with a purchase of 15 or more. They are just crushing the used market
.
I have a blue Hogrider.

I like the size better than the Mako. The lume is pretty weak. The finish seems pretty good to me but I have no real experience with the higher end or boutique brands.

Well for the standard models it seems that this puts them in line with ebay pricing.
If I bought an $1800 300M diver from them and now that same watch was $950 new, I'd be reasonably unhappy

Well, dammit, I was just one beer away from going to bed last night, and 'mistakenly' ordered a blue hogrider
. I just hope that I have a relatively smooth experience with orient usa - I've heard some bad stories....
Hopefully this will compare favorably with a 7002.... with the exception of the bad lume, of course.... I like the dial better than the Mako. I could have spent my dough on worse...

Cool. Post up your pics and thoughts when you get it. I've dealt with them 3 times now and they were good. I had to return a watch and they were a little non chalant about it but eventually I threatened with paypal and Mark found out and took care of me right away.
So any issues contact Mark via email. Sometimes they seem to be a little slow but they will eventually make it right.

I've ordered three as well (2 Mako's and a Hogrider) from eiter the Orient DOD or off the main site with a coupon and all three arrived promptly and packaged well.moishlashen wrote:... I've dealt with them 3 times now and they were good. ...
Not to bring up problems from the past but one thing I felt was odd was that I bought one watch in July '09 and decided to open the warranty book and saw that it was stamped with the AD stamp of Shop NBC with a sale date of Nov '08

I figured that I had the original invoices, receipts etc so I wasn't really worried but they were the first three watches I have bought from an AD.
I hear that the communications are much better now.
I think you'll like it, it is a nice big blue diver with an out of the box accurate movement at a entry level price. I've spent more on a day snowboarding than that. That was enough to sell me.
