Do you have some recommendations for places to eye some pre-owned watches? I guess Tourneau has some sort of selection, is there better places? Thanks for help!

So long as it's during a weekday, hit up 47th street between 5th & 6th Ave. That's the so-called Diamond District, and there are a ton of used watch dealers there. Sure, they're a buncha sharks for the most part, but hey, lookin' is free, right? If you're serious about dropping some coin, then be sure to put your game face on and stand your ground. They'll deal, but you've gotta have the eye of the tiger.

Adam

And I have heard that diamond district can have some shady dealers, you don't always get what you are paying for, but I guess thats were the deals are.

There aren't real deals, don't expect to pay less than TZ/WUS prices for used pieces, in fact, expect to pay about ~20% more. It is cheaper than Tourneau though.

I actually got kicked out of a store the last time I went. This guy Insisted his IWC AT Titanium last gen was the best price you can find anywhere and he challenged me to find a better price anywhere at all. I showed him a TZ posting with great pics and box/papers at $500 less and he got so angry he kicked me out of his store. I'm guessing he overpaid for it at dealer auction.

Most of the dudes on the block are Orthodox Jews, so they observe the Sabbath, which means no business after sundown on Friday.

Yah I'd say Diamond district. If you're into Panerai's Guilio is definitely worth checking out. Nice guy with sick collection of new and vintage Panerai.

If you're smart though, those Jewish guys on 47th can be played. None of them like to lose out on a sale- so the best thing to do is to go up and down both sides, looking and let the Ukrainians who work for them outside trying to get you into the shops that you ARE looking to buy... They will watch you and keep trying to get your business. Go back and forth between places you saw something you liked, get them all up in a frenzy and have them practically beg you to buy from them. I did that with diamonds down there...

So in the end didn't buy anything, nice pieces tho. I did visit also the usual suspects in NYC wempe etc. Damn there was almost too much stuff in my program(non watch related). It's always nice to visit NYC, must come again!
