I don't think I've seen that one before, Jay. Friggin sweet, though!

What's under the hood?

Why does it flip up? Serious question.

In the first post I explain why there's a flip up mechanism.
The Kontiki Dive is not that rare, but until recently they were not available in the US. I think there was one Canadian dealer that was an Eterna AD.
They're pretty much being dumped now on fleabay. Seems that a bunch of gray market dealers acquired them. If you follow the completed auctions they're going for significantly less than even the normal discount prices. I'd followed the devolpment of this for a couple years, first seeing pictures in a 2005 Eterna catalog. In the past year a couple guys from Europe posted up theirs, the first I'd seen them anywhere.

Been looking for in the wild pics forever. Those are freakin' SICK.
I will have to check those sales out as I thought these were indeed rare since I could never find out much info. Thanks for the pics, that is the shizzle yo.

I think that in the future, this watch will be one of those watches that collectors will flock to. I would recommend holding on to it.
