New Vintage - Triton Spirotechnique

Post by sfglenrock » Sat Oct 15, 2011 8:30 pm

I recently picked up a '60's vintage diver, the Triton Spirotechnique. This is a pretty cool diver with the crown at 12 and a unique case design. The case needs a bit of cleaning up but is in good shape. I'm not exactly sure what the original case finish was but it looks to be all polished. It has a very cool domed acrylic crystal and acrylic bezel. Not sure what strap or bracelet will look best on it. Here are a few pics:

That will look great on an Isofrane.

With all my vintage watches, I still haven't picked up a new Isofrane. I may need to try one out on the Triton.

Congrats Steve. Very unique looking diver. I have to agree that an Iso would look great on that. Depending on the thickness of it a vintage waffle strap might look good, and theres also the Maratac "Kevlar".

I was on the hunt for a vintage diver with the hinged top lug covering the crown, theyre not easy to find. This example looks fantastic with that fantastic patina!

i agree, isofrane would look great, or tropic.

Case size is 39mm wide and about 49mm from lug to lug. Not big by today's standards.

Very nice!

I had one a short period of time, the original strap is a cool tropic with the spirotechnique seahorse logo on it. Will take a pic of it.

Thanks for the info. Was the finish completely polished or was anything brushed?

Thanks for the pics, Red. Love the bracelet. Congrats on the Squale. We'll need to see a group shot of your Spiro's one of these days.
