What a GREAT watch, I wore mine all weekend.
My Eco-Zilla used to be my favorite Citizen but the old CO23 has
stolen that spot.

Regards Sonny
Thanks Sonny!
 funny you said that. Same exact thing happened to me. My Ecozilla was my favorite, now the CO23 took the top spot!

Here's a few. Most of them taken last summer. I swear I had pics of it on an
Orange NATO too, but I can't find it. Not too bad of lume for a 12 year old
dial.

Having trouble finding pics of my old Aqualands, but I did find these:

THE ORIGINAL. Bought it back in the mid-80's.

And here's a rough collection shot from some time last year with both Aqualands in it (bottom left alongside the Russians).

I love this thread! I never check out the Asian Watch Forum but I'm glad I did today.

I'd venture to say that the original Aqualand was one of those game-changers in the dive watch world, right up there with the original Rolex Sub/BP 50F and the '60s Doxa SUB. It moved the bar to a new level with its built-in, highly accurate depth sensor and dive functions.

While I love the C023, I had to have one I could trust underwater so got a JP2000 re-issue to take diving. Worn opposite a dive computer, it's a fantastic backup bottom timer and carries instant cred on the dive boat and in the beach bar afterward. I gave my first JP2000 to a divemaster in Sri Lanka who desperately needed a new watch and I just got this replacement this week.

I just picked this one up from the bay a few months ago...

Image

Needed a battery change and voila - working aqualand!

I really like this one - but would like it even more with a new crystal - anyone know where I can source one? I'm always up for a challenge...

Hi everyone. My name is Alex and I live in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

I don't mean to encroach upon a close-knit group's discussion forum, but a quick Google search gave me this thread. I've recently decided to get rid of my "childhood" C023 watch. I'm the original owner, and specifically purchased the non-gold version since I never liked the two-tone look to these. On a kid's budget back then, it was a big deal in my eyes to buy this puppy. Fortunately I had a jeweler in the family so I got this new far below retail.

I was excited when a recent battery change brought this piece back to life with zero issues. Since I cannot post in the for sale forum before I get 25 posts under my belt, I thought I could just troll a bit on this thread.

Sooo...what do these things typically sell for these days? Everything appears to work just fine. I don't feel it's safe to test the depth sensor as I wouldn't want to trust the original button/case seal's integrity.

I have an aqualand vintage model like the ones here and sent to Citizen to get a battery. They told me there were no more batteries to fit this watch-too big and are trying to sell me a new watch. I am going to ask for it back. Any ideas about where to get a battery?

Welcome Dave-maybe get the battery and then google it. Hard to believe they don't have a battery for it but somebody has to somewhere.

Hi Alex welcome. No idea on price-poke around ebay or WUS and you should find some prices. There are some people that that can do a service on it and change seals etc. Jay at Motor City Watch Works comes to mind or Jack at IWW also. Some more knowledgable people may pipe in also.

Have you tried contacting Citizen? While they no longer service this line of watches, they still have watchbands for some models. Can't hurt to inquire.

Thanks for the response. I will send them an email. I've literally spent the last month searching every inch of the Internet... I found 1 that will fit which is a mesh band as seen above.. But that bracelet just really sets the watch over the top. I can't believe how hard it is to find out

Welcome Geoff. have you tried elitedealseeker.com and watchrecon.com ? Might have to play with search terms but it will help narrow your search much faster. Also, you might try scouring the MWR PX.
