My Steinhart Triton 30 ATM Arrives.

Post by Mr Rick » Wed Aug 03, 2011 7:45 am

I ordered it last Thursday and received it late yesterday. Excellent service from Gnomonwatches in Singapore.

Some initial comments:

Styling is quite unlike anything else I've seen. Quality of fit and finish are outstanding, as is typical of Steinhart.
For me ( 7 1/4 inch wrist ) the watch wears large at 45mm by 56 mm, and I am already at the last position on the strap.
The strap itself is 24mm wide and 4mm thick and quite stiff as it comes new. The bracelet ( sold separately ) will be along in a day or two so I'll follow up with photos when it is fitted. The 31.5mm diameter, flat crystal is slightly above the height of the bezel, and the bezel itself is the same finished stainless steel as the case, and completely flat. So the susceptibility to bezel scratching is somewhat increased.

For me the overall look is one of understated elegance. I see myself wearing this watch in most any situation. No doubt different straps/bracelets will give it different looks.

If you have any further questions or if I've forgotten anything, please feel free to ask or send me a PM.

 I dig it even if its to big for me. I have to say when I first saw it the hour hand didn't fit at all. But the lume shot shows the thought behind it. Great lookin piece.

P.S.: What about an Isofrane for some rubber variety?

Beautiful watch! I had the Debaufre version a while back. Great looking watch and kept perfect time. Like a dummy I sold it.

Congrats to you!

I have never seen that version of that watch. Very cool look... fresh and not gimmicky. Cool set up, too. It would look awesome on Isofrane fo sho.

Nice dive watch snag.

Have they ever put a bracelet on that model?

That is a very cool dial. They always have interesting designs that seem original and not used elsewhere.

Wearing mine today on the new Steinhart bracelet. This watch definitely pushes my size maximum, but it is nice.

Anybody tried one of the 1000m models? I like the look of the PVD bezel over the bead blasted case.

Can't tell if it is the masterful photography or the watch, but that is pretty freakin' sweet.

Too big for me, but I like it. THAT is how a round date window should look. Notice how it doesn't cut off part of the number? I like this iteration of the Triton the best. A little more conservative in appearance and like you said can be worn in more situations. Nice snag.
