Benrus Ultra Deep

Post by River Rat » Mon Oct 14, 2024 5:15 pm

Have not bought a new watch in years. Always collected vintage mainly ant new watch did not las long before I sold it. Had a problem with one of my vintage divers with the crown was a pain to find a crown for it and Jack at IWW has it now. Was going to buy another project ask Jack he said pass on it. So, I am getting tired of getting a vintage project use to be fun but there were a lot of dissent watchmakers back then not now adays. Saw this Benrus Ultra Deep remake. So, no service needed not parts to scrunch up its same size as the original with a cool dome plexe crystal were if it gets a scratch poltwatch will clean it up. Does not have a compressor case where it did not have a screw down crown. This one has a screw down crown and screw back cover. Has a 25-jewel movement the original had a 17-jewel movement. And it hacks. I can wear this one more and give the vintage a break since this has vintage vibes. A few photos. They have 20% off sale for these at Benrus what made me buy it 200 off.

Looks good. They pretty much made it a 1:1 to the vintage.

I was thinking about getting it but acrylic crystal is massive and I’m afraid I’d break it eventually.

Wow - looks sharp!

Something to be said for having a new watch especially when it looks like its 40 years old. Congrats

I'm trying to stay out of the revolving door and stick to the four watches I have now, but that one's awfully tempting.
No, it's not Tourettes.

Well you picked out a wonderful watch to pick up after years sir ! :salute: ;)
It totally feels vintage with the super compressor design, as well
as just the hands, as well as markers. It’s like they looked at one
of the watches in their vault, and painted a beautiful new version
here Mike. :o Honestly, you must be so happy because you still
have a vintage vibe, but the watch is brand new without any
issues to bug you.

I love vintage watches also, but with this new Ultra Deep, you
can keep great time, and not worry as much about dinging it
up right? Sending off a BIG BIG Benrus congrats here to you !!!
