That’s a bit of a confused mess.

It’s as if they changed everything for the sake of change.

Dial may be fine, hands too, but the bracelet..?

Only thing I don’t like is the skinny minute hand

I like it. Finally got rid of #1 detail I hate about many Seiko - hour and minute hands overhang.
The rest is ok, Nautilus horizontal lines dial is cute touch.
Date window on a black dial is positioned well preserving a no-date symmetry of the dial. Good job @seiko

From Yonson at WUS

“How it could have looked (no X, no funky date, no funky dial texture).”

That with Seiko oyster bracelet & original MM300 hands would be an instant buy. Those OG hands do have history.

Just like everything else in life the standards have been lowered.

Now to be called a Marinemaster it only has to be 200M.......Image

There are so many weird elements here that I can't point to one single thing that ruins the design...It's just everything. What a strange release.

I have a sad.

I’m sure they look better in the metal like all Seikos, but this is disappointing, and I’m a Seiko fanboy.

Beautiful Shannon, it’s tough choosing a favorite because two of them
are nice and classic, but the ice blue is really neat. ;) :salute: I honestly
wouldn’t mind having any one of them, and it’s terrific just finding out
about them. So thank you very much for the news of them !!!

SEIKO is completely ridiculous the last years !

They killed the MARINEMASTER from the dial.
And now they come back with the MARINEMASTER print AND the X on the dial on this terrible watch.
"You're bleeding, man. You're hit."
"I ain't got time to bleed."

This meets the definition of nonbinary for watches imo. Freaking disaster.

So accurate. It's just an amalgamation of design traits that Seiko hasn't put together before. It looks like a 50 year old watch I found in my grandpa's dresser that was never a popular model. I really can't figure out why this is the watch they'd put the Marinemaster name on.

Seiko’s new Marine Masters

It would have been so much better to take the OG 300m case and make it out of titanium and use the new titanium SLA071 bracelet & clasp. That would have been perfect IMO

I don't hate the watch, but I don't like it as a Marinemaster replacement.

+1

I applaud Seiko for finally making a 40mm diver, but this is a pass
