nice to see the OG Shogun when you wear it. it was a monumental watch around here few years ago.
Thanks Art! Your strap definitely adds to it. After 8 years of owning it I've been on the fence lately if I want to keep it or if it's time to let it go.
If you decide to let it go, please give me a ping.
If you put a large switch in some cave somewhere, with a sign on it saying 'End-of-the-World Switch. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH', the paint wouldn't even have time to dry.

My rubber Zulu arrived today, from Yellowdog Straps.

It’s about as thin and flexible as a standard soft nylon zulu strap.

Thanks Dave, too kind of you... I don't know, I don't think Seiko made anything a whole lot more special since the OG Shogun. 55 iterations of NAFTS, a few other models are pretty good like SPB143, but nothing in Titanium with anti scratch shield, high end stuff like OG Shogun. The new shogun with Rolex cyclops and weird everything else is not the same IMHO
I was even looking at my old Shogun photos this morning. Thinking a CT flat sapphire with clear inner A/R and a plain chapter ring are all the Shogun needs to be ideal.

Yeah that would be perfecto 👍

Here’s my old pic from like 7-8 years ago. It had an amazing dial when in the sun

Sapphire Crystal is one thing I've wanted to do, but will wait until I have the movement serviced or replaced. A plain chapter ring would be nice if there's one that would fit the Shogun. I've never seen one.

Yes, I understand that most of them will fit. I was going to do matte black, but someone here had polished stainless and it looked great too.
