Thanks Matty - yeah, the AD Tac has really grown on me..... I think the fact that I've worn it exclusively for the last month or so has made all the difference..... the size isn't so noticeable if I'm not swapping from a monster to a small watch all the time.

mattcantwin - nothing wrong with power tools mate..... in fact all tools are good (apart from the ones who post ridiculousness on watch forums)

As far as the weather goes, Jamie is 100% right..... we've only just managed to take a bit of a breather from a steady run of consecutive 40C, 45C, 38C days..... brutal heatwave and the whole State has been on bushfire alert. Thankfully it's settled down for a bit and we can enjoy the nice nights at the moment!

I know a lot of you guys are battling thru freezing snow etc so stay warm and keep out of trouble!

Dave - speaking of GSD's.... how's your girl going?

She's doing great. I "test drove" a male GSD this past weekend. The lady that runs the rescue site in New Orleans called and asked if I'd go evaluate one for her. The owner has brain cancer and can't keep him. He's 19 months and is just about a mile from my house. I met up with "Lucas" and took him to my house to meet my female. Lucas is 110 lbs. He's a freakin horse. They played great together with no problems. He is very docile, and was great with young kids. I walked him around the neighborhood and he stayed right by my side. I started thinking that this might be the one we get (I'm looking for another). Everything went fine until I brought him inside. He has been an outside dog. He tried to lie down and be mellow, but my crazy wildcat dog wouldn't leave him alone. They started cutting up in the house, and the next thing I know they are running all over the place. 110 lbs running crazy thru the house doesn't work. He's like a bull in a china closet. Then, he pissed on the corner of the bed. Now, I've had dogs my whole life and the occasional accident in the house is part of the game. But, I can't leave him in the house if he's not trained. I don't want to take a chance and leave him outside as he could single handedly destroy the man porch if he got bored. He'd be easy to train, but not with my wild ass dog distracting him. So, I took him back to his owner but was able to give a good evaluation for the adoption site. I think he'd be easy to train if he were an only dog. Or, if somebody wanted an outside dog. I never did have a dog just to keep them outside. Mine stays glued to my side and I leave her in the house to roam free when we are gone. She has never had an accident, and only chews up the stuff that is hers. Although she insists on eating her bed from time to time. Bottom line, 110 lbs was just too big for a dog that wasn't house trained.
