DROP + GLYCINE COMBAT SUB "COFFEE" GMT WATCH
$589

We teamed up with Glycine to put our own twist on one of its best sellers, the Combat Sub. This collaboration is Glycine’s first-ever GMT, and it’s here in a style you won’t find anywhere else.

"This collaboration is Glycine’s first-ever GMT"
The watch looks fine, but Glycine's been doing GMTs for a (long) while now.

Quite like this one, miss having a 2893 in my collection. Curious to see some real photos.

Maybe it's the first time they've done one with a bi-color, "Rolex style" bezel.toxicavenger wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 10:01 ami wondering if they meant to say the "coffee" effect was a first ever![]()

Must have meant "Coffee" effect there like you said Terry.
Really looks sharp that is for sure sir, and am not sure what is nicer,
the actual design, or the price.
..Can't find anything not to like
about them to tell the truth. Thanks a lot for the look !

Quote is 'glycine-combat' so, bit more specific.
Either way, looks good and price is good too.

I’ve been spoiled by the two independently adjustable hour hand affordable GMT’s I own (Alpina and Certina). Both were acquired new (grey market) for less than the asking price of this Glycine.
I still like the 2893-2 movement. The examples I’ve owned have been very accurate and reliable. If you don’t travel much and just want to track another time zone, they work well.
If you bounce around a bit, that jump hour function is really convenient.

A Combat Sub GMT for $589?? I'm really not sold on the price. I don't think a GMT movement will be an additional $200 or more.

I'm curious: What other GMT do you think is a better value?ChesterDogg wrote:A Combat Sub GMT for $589?? I'm really not sold on the price. I don't think a GMT movement will be an additional $200 or more.

I think these look really good. Even at 42mm, with that thickness, would work fine on my puny wrist. I'm not offended by the price either, not that I've done a ton of looking, but can't think of many automatic GMT's in that price range.
