I can't get into FB or instagram watch stuff. I don't want people to know I'm into this dorky shit.

Not a fan of watches with group logos on them

FaceBook Dive Watch group collaborations

Post by Jeep99dad » Tue Jan 17, 2017 5:34 pm

They deleted a photo of a Seiko I posted and then the guy sent me a PM to tell me about the rules of 100m + watches and blah blah.
I thought the guy had too much time In his hands to worry about such crap and i didn't even what the WR was on it. I wear mostly five watches and over 100m WR.
If I was the mod, I'd just let it go but whoever it was he took it very seriously and had to make a point i suppose and spend time on such a critical issue :)
Some mods take themselves very seriously. But hey it's their rule. I was in a bad place then, asked him if he was serious and told him he essentially had too much time on his hands, then decided I'd just leave

As for the watch, I think they did a great job but I'd prefer the logo on the back aesthetically.

Agreed. I think a lot of folks are off-put by the logos on dials, but on casebacks it is less of an issue IMO.

There are assholes everywhere. I honestly have not had any issues, but maybe I'm not paying attention as I am not on it every day.

They bitch and moan if someone posts a photo of a Speedmaster, but Invictas are just fine.
Yeah, I know. They have a rule of any watch that is 100m can be posted. I don't see many invicta posted there these days though. I don't know..it's a dive watch group, do Speedmasters really belong anyways?
I wouldn't use an invicta as a dive watch either but whatever.

This is the Dive Watch Connection. Should we only discuss and post photos of dive watches? Silly.
Comparing rules of a Facebook group with only one page to post, versus a full blown forum with different topics and miscellaneous threads does sound kinda silly.

Funny coming from you. Reminds me of this drawing.

I don't know you but you sure exhibit signs of donkeyhood since my first day here. I'll always remember I posted for first time on DWC and you made fun of my watch and my favorite hobby, Disv Golf. It made me feel sorry for you, all donkeys could use some love so I did a quick prayer for you. I felt blessed to be your punching bag that day.

Some donkeys have that need to talk down on others and some of them are allowed to admin forums.

WTF he's so sensitive about these fake...err sorry "homage" watches? Every time someone says something it's on like donkey kong.
It's okay that someone likes and accepts them and someone else doesn't.

Na. It's my second. Figured I'd make it more personal vs. an old handle I picked up 15 years ago. What's funny is that I spoke to Danny recently about your straps. I pimp them out quite often within our group despite you not being a group sponsor.

That is a good reason to change it honestly. It is easier to put a name to face in a way.

Thanks for the support. I am still figuring out shit everyday it seems. :crybaby: One day I will be able to hire to someone to do marketing.
