Forget all this smart watch talk. What we really want to know is what you’ve been spending your time on since your absence?
I’m having to live all this bicycle talk vicariously through you as apparently this was my year for knee surgery (ruptured patellar tendon).

I have some great news, this timepiece is available to order directly from the brand, meaning you would have a brand-new timepiece fresh from the production line. Delivery is due to arrive 20th November, how...

Re: Here we go again…
I think the Panerai Luminor are visually interesting and could be long term keepers if you have the wrist to carry a 44mm watch case. There is something about a hand wound movement that I find appealing. Ironically, I actually prefer the basic Luminor (no date, small seconds) over any other model. I...

I haven’t seen Jacob around in a while, but I think he is knowledgeable on the topic. If I remember correctly, his father grows coffee on Hawaii.

Re: Certina’s new DS Super PH1000M
That looks cool. I’d have to replace that strap immediately. I don’t like the curved wave straps on Seikos either. The style might be polarizing, but those “wave” straps do work well for diving. As long as it isn’t that Hirsch strap I would probably like it. The Hirsch sucks for a boa constrictor o...

Re: Certina’s new DS Super PH1000M
Does anyone know when these will hit Certina’s website? All the reviews give pricing and links to the website, but I don’t see this model anywhere on Certina’s site. I’m hoping this wears similar to the MM300, with a large case but small dial opening making it wear a bit smaller than the spec sheet ...

I hate puny little dickhead hands Do you prefer these large hands? I believe they are called penis hands. So, large penis hands. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20231031/de1c9a4cd5dc7863389a67e7c1bc86c5.jpg better, but not making me hard [emoji533] Maybe if they were all black penis hands on a lum...

Re: Bremont’s new Supermarine S302 GMT Diver
Per my usual complaint, if you are going to make a watch that is 300m water resistant, and picture it on some guy wearing a wet suit, then you should print the GMT scale on the rehaut and make the bezel an elapsed time scale for diving purposes. This is especially true if you are going to make the ...

Re: What do you drive???
They make tons on those extended warranties. It’s an ancient tried and true Toyota. Don’t think an extended warranty is money well spent. I’m not trying to suggest the extended warranty, but if you ever want it, you can get it any time prior to 3 years / 36K miles. You also don’t need to buy it fro...

Still enjoying this one and some near record warmth here in northern New England. Feels a bit odd to carve pumpkins in shorts, flip flops, and a Hawaiian shirt, but that’s the outfit for today.

Re: Raven Custom Department
If you like the look and aren’t a fan of the dial, the guy who sells Raven the watch cases also assembles a similar looking watch using the same case.
Other than the dial, the only other difference being the Raven comes on rubber and the Alexander James comes on a bracelet.

Re: Alexander James Watches A4 Prelude 37 GMT
Nice write up --- that's a solid watch at that price point. Thanks, John. One other thing about the brand I appreciate is AJ isn't some "designer" who outsources the manufacturing and assembly to Fullswing or similar. He sources all the parts, regulates the movement, and assembles everything himsel...
