Re: Stay at home binge watching?

Just started season 2 of Bosch. One of those series I'd never bothered with and now I'm glad I didn't - really enjoying it and means I have another 5 seasons to binge on.

Watched The Gentlemen last night. Never been a Ritchie fan, but I really liked this one and there has to be a Bremont in the film somewhere.

I missed this at the cinema, where is it on?

Re: real-world experience of MM

Thanks fellas, and yeah Hop, I do want to, but tend to take a while whenever I make a purchase and this feels a bit rushed at the moment. I don't know if it's true, but the AD that has it said there are only 6 in the UK, but don't know if that's a limit or just how many have come through so far. Gre...

Re: real-world experience of MM

I agree Ben, but I believe he’s referring to this 035 https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200331/903d8ff66491604ab9edffd114c1f711.jpg I really want one of these. Redundant with the Topper Ninja? I couldn’t have both. Not sure the MM is worth $2k more. definitely not worth 2k more. So, the SLA035J1 i...

Re: real-world experience of MM

Thanks guys, really appreciate everyone's input. I do want one, but still undecided, and were it not for the current situation I'd make the effort to get out and look at the different versions in person (I've never seen one). Currently as of this post, I've found ADs that have the 023, 021 and the 0...

Re: real-world experience of MM

Thanks fellas; I doubt I'd notice the +/- and I'm used to the thickness of my Seawolf and Bremont Supermarine. I know this is going to seem bad, but part of my indecision is that I've simply never spent that much on a Seiko. I've had two or three over the years and they've been great, and this is (k...

Re: real-world experience of MM

Forgot to add the AD in case anyone else is interested, they currently have two in stock. They also had the SLA035, but that's gone now.

real-world experience of MM

Okay, so I'm still very much undecided (and that indecision may lose me the opportunity to buy an SLA023J1) but I'd rather that than buy on impulse and regret it. I've seen one from a UK AD at 20% off, and I know several people here have owned the precursor, and wondered what the real-world experien...

Re: Lockdown Survival - what are you doing?

I know this is the "Lockdown Survival" thread and this isn't really on topic, but have any of you read about the doctors who are writing scripts for themselves and their families for that malaria drug? Apparently pharmacists are reporting the drug is now hard to keep in stock and lupis patients and...

SLA021J1 o rings

I vaguely recall reading somewhere about the reason/s why Seiko doesn't use or need more than one o-ring in the crown assembly, but now can't find where I read it. Can anyone shed any light on this? I'm thinking how with the monobloc case and no HEV, and yet capable of sat' diving, the need for more...

Re: Lockdown Survival - what are you doing?

The other problem I have is that a couple of years ago, I told my wife that I'd do a few jobs around the house when I had a bit of spare time. I'm still working out what my next line is going to be.

Re: Lockdown Survival - what are you doing?

My son's still in Cardiff, couple of hundred miles away, and has had symptoms the last few days, but appears to be on the mend; my wife is a social worker, still at work, but as a manager, not having to do home visits, though who knows how things might change?

Re: Lockdown Survival - what are you doing?

We're being told to avoid mass gatherings and not go out at all except for essentials like shopping; thing is, the busiest places where I live are the supermarkets! Until later in the day that is, when all the stockpilers have emptied the shelves :banghead:

Re: Lockdown Survival - what are you doing?

I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes a few weeks ago (my own fault for being overweight; it's been a wake-up call and already getting healthier) and so decided to work from home from yesterday, but then the Government decided to close schools anyway. I don't have a teaching commitment - I'm in char...

Re: CoVid Positivity - The good in people!

I struggle to not "do my bit" and more, and so had continued going to work and doing long days even though I'm in the "vulnerable group". But then a work colleague emphasised how worried she was about me, and said something like, "As your friend, I'm asking you, please don't come into work." I was q...
