BELL & ROSS 03-92 ***Restoration Project w/ a DLC twist***
Hello everyone, Even though the watches from the Panerai family are the once that benefit the most out of the spa restoration treatments, every once in a while other beauties come along to get their shine back like this BELL & ROSS 03-92. I will not get you bored by going on and on and would rather ...

Re: Panerai 026A ***DLC Restoration Project***
I like the way it looks bead blasted. Too bad it is a nightmare to maintain that finish. I would agree with you on 100% if we were talking about a straight up SANDblasting with rough media (like Alu Oxide). The blasting media is the thing that finishes the surface determining the watch vulnerabilit...

Re: STEINHART Ocean 44 GMT ***DLC Project***
Watches are like women... They are all different and have different needs. The cost estimate is strictly depending on the make and model, owner's specific requirements etc. So the question "how much" may be answered in several ways depending on a number of factors. Parts to be treated as per the own...

STEINHART Ocean 44 GMT ***DLC Project***
STEINHART Ocean 44 GMT Call it german and let it dive ;)... seriously now, this is a great looking watch, built in a rather rigid way all around. The watch was bought brand new, specifically for this particular project. No bead blasting or further refinishing has been done so to preserve its origin...

Re: DLC watch coating ***101***
What is the Vickers hardness rating of your coating? Thanks. The hardness of the DLC coating applied on the watch from the pictorial is within the range of 5-6k VP. Excellent post! How long is that start to finish? And, whats the wait time to get a watch done? The turn-around time for the watch fro...

Re: DLC watch coating ***101***
It the substrate doesn't matter as long as it is non-corrosive/oxidative. The properties of the DLC coating does not depend on the metal it's been applied on.foodle wrote:How well does this work on titanium (grade 2)?

Re: DLC watch coating ***101***
very nice.... what would the outcome be if the watch was not blasted prior to getting the DLC coat? The problem with the pre-owed watches is, well they are pre-owed. Hairlines, scratches, minor dents... Those are all taken care of by the beadblasting with different blasting medias. On top of that b...
