My favorite of all time:
My anthracite, 1993.5 Toyota Supra. Modified to a single t-66 sized turbo, full fuEL, AEM, etc etc. beautiful HRE wheels, mid 500s to the wheels street tune, 800+ on race fuel.
Stolen and stripped to the frame. R.I.P.

Re: Caution on this eBay Kobold
I had good luck with my SOA, an Arctic Diver, and my current AD destro. It's odd to me that someone doesn't handle the watches in the house before they leave and catch these problems. These aren't minor, nit picky details. Seems weird.

Go with your instincts. The fact that you posted here tells me what you need to do. Otherwise you would have silently suffered. You will never be able to accept the blemishes. It ain't wabi!

This is a place of our fathers values where a handshake is good enough. Where else would people send watches worth untold thousands of dollars to someone they've never met just to see if they like it?!?!

In addition to trusted members allowing others to wear watches to try em out - which got me a Kontiki Eterna diver I love - thanks Brad and Darin; Rob/streetracer101 remembered I was looking for a UTS bracelet for a 2000m I traded him for. Not only did he let me know when he found one on eBay which ...

My Sinn service was near identical. Plus you get a nifty little Sinn travel case. I hear that you shouldn't try service over the summer vacation month - July or August?

Re: Why does Kobold make it so hard to share the love?
Bottom line, there isn't anybody or anything in my life where I find I love every little thing about them/it. Even my closest friends and family - why should a watch manufacturer be any different? Of course not. But the number of complaints brought to light in this thread and countless others like ...

Re: Why does Kobold make it so hard to share the love?
I do agree with Rob in the original post that $750 is way too much for a bezel, but I do loves me some Kobolds. Conversing once with a great salesman at Oliver Smith here locally while looking, but not buying any Pam's or IWC's, he inquired about my UTS 2000m (thanks Rob). Having previously discusse...

Other than other watch guys I know, only twice I can remember - both wearing a Sinn UX. One guy owned a U1, the other was a co-worker that liked how the dial looked.

Having read all of the Reacher books including the disappointing last one, I wasn't thrilled at the casting. My vote would have been Dwayne Johnson, but TC did ok. Girlfriend loved it. I liked it.
