Re: Whistleblower lawsuit involving major Chicago AD

and yet they can overproduce the stuff they can't easily sell and force those on ADs instead. yeah, i'm not buying that they can't meet demand. they either won't or aren't smart enough to produce the right volume of different models. you decide which sounds more logical. They own their own smelt. I...

Re: Sangin Instruments

They are wildly popular with dudes in ACUs posting wristies. It's always interesting in where the tipping point lies between obscurity and obsession. I've owned 2 of their watches to see what all the fuss was about. Neither were bad, but neither have impressed me much either. I think this one sold o...

Re: Longines Legend Diver with Gradient Blue and Brown dials

Those are cool, but I wish they'd hit pause on the dial variations and bring back the black dial no-date version instead. and fix the lugs. Better yet, I wish IWC would just bring back the vintage Aquatimer, although with the inflationary pricing of watches these days, I wouldn't be able to afford ...

Re: ARES Newsletter

Eh. Not a fan of the play on the UX name or the oil-filled watch. Sinn does it well, and they’re probably the only ones I’d trust to buy an oil-filled watch from. I don’t think I want to be part of the experimentation process with a new brand on aftermarket support for that tech. I've got a cheap o...

Did they use a shopped pic of Bernard Sanders with his mittens in the article? If they didn't, they'd be the only one at this point. Guess me unplugging from most forms of social media is finally paying off. I ditched them all. Fully cancelled. Best thing I ever did! Your blood pressure thank...

Re: TAD super diver

Ok. It’s really not bad at all. Not the most original design obviously, but well built for sure. They could lose the date (as always) and use 22mm lugs and I wouldn’t complain. Fun fact. After however many dozens upon dozens of watches I’ve owned, this is the first GMT. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn...

Sangin watches are available as of this writing. I snagged one, but I will probably try to use it as trade fodder for something that isn't as ugly. https://tripleaughtdesign.com/shop/sangin-instruments-professional-tad-edition/ Me too, worth checking out and it will be a super easy flip. I can’t imagine the damage I’d inflict on that bezel. Looks great, though. It’ll look good with “character marks” You’ve bought watches from me. I don’t like character marks. Ed prefers watches with pubes on the dial. Only grey ones. https://d188rgcu4zozwl.cloudfront.net/content/B07L8KSHN9/resource...

Ummmm, $750 for a quartz watch that looks like something the Borealis Watch company was selling 5 years ago for $350 (for an automatic). Smaller market here, but generally smoother transactions. WUS - expect numerous counter offers and requests for pics followed by frequent ghosts.
